Hello Judy and Welcome to NeuroTalk. Well, I DO understand your pain and frustration. I suffer from FM along w/a few other fun auto immunes, and I can relate to what you are saying.

FM lets you know of it's presence every day. The barometric changes just send me into flare after flare. I see a Rheumy for mine and he is compassionate and trying really hard to help me manage my sx's. I'm still a work in progress, I guess.

I have Darvocet for the pain, but do not like the side effects, so tend to take a Tramadol and hope that it takes the edge off. Some days, it's just a curl up on the sofa and wait it out.

I hope you have seen our forum for FM and can gather some info, advice and comfort. NT is an amazing place and I'm glad you found us.
