Greetings to all of you here !
I found NT by searching for information about Spinal Fusion surgery. I am here looking for knowledge and information, as I plan to have 2 level fusion with hardware at L4-5 to S1 in about 3 months. I have had one disc trimmed in 2005, and need a 2 level fusion in order to stabilize my spine do to Spondylolesthisis (sp?) at L5 S1 along with smashed, bulging, herinated discs at both L4-5 and L5S1. I have moderate arthritis at all these levels and the ones above. I have back pain and leg pain, and have been living with it for about 4 years. I weld and fabricate metal for a living, so its been hard to do my duties day in and day out. If I were not self employed I would not have been able to rest when I need to, so I feel somewhat lucky in that respect. It is getting harder to perform my work without alot of pain, as I decided 2 years ago to ween myself off the narcotic pain meds and now I take only Ultracet 3 times a day. I have done alot of therapy, several epidurals, accupuncture, chiropractic, and edoscopic surgery. I have 4 years of experience with these items, so I may be able to lend a small amount of advice for someone with these issues. Thanks for having me here, and I wish all of you well. |
