Intro - antidepressants and vision changes
Hi!
My name is Amy and I am 23 years old. I have a tremor that I have self-diagnosed as an essential tremor based on my family history and many hours of researching different types of tremors. Thankfully it isn't that bad yet and I am able to work around it and do what I need to get done.
I also recently have been diagnosed with MDD. I was in the hospital a couple months ago due to self injury and suicidal ideation. My doctor put me on Seroquel, prozac, and wellbutrin while in the hospital and I've been on them since. They seem to have really helped my mood, but lately I have been having some vision problems. In the mid-late afternoon I have vertical double vision that can last up to 3 hours, and this happens almost every day. I first started experiencing this a couple weeks ago. I just went to the eye doctor and he wasn't sure. He wants to send me to a specialist to look at my eyes. I am wondering if this could be due to the three meds I am on. Has anyone else taken any of these meds and experienced vision problems? Since I am only having the problem in the afternoon and not all day, it makes me wonder if it could be related to the meds. All I know is that it is really annoying and difficult to work and do my daily activities when I am seeing double. Thanks for any insight!
