Thanks for the welcome. I think it is great you have found a way to make something helpful and productive out something very painful. We had to find ways to occupy our daughter so she would not get depressed. Believe it or not she started riding a horse!

I can share your elation of your daughters recovery and am ashamed that I am here looking for consolation while others have displayed courage with this torture for a decade .
My PT says he has seen people recover and says that my odds of complete recovery are high . I hope the same becomes true for all others on this forum
It is so scary at first when you hear from your doctor your diagnosis. It is very overwhelming. I knew what was involved already when I got mine. We had only had my daughter in remission for about two years when I developed RSD. It was like I wanted to stand at the top of the Grand Canyon and scream "Why?!". You shouldn't feel ashamed, you are at the very beginning. You will feel these feeling again, and don't be ashamed then either. I am so glad they have found it early and you have a great chance for recovery. It will make you a stronger person. You will be a better Mom and your children will be more appreciative of the small things in life. It does put life in perspective. Let your family help you too. You are always there for them. That is a hard thing to do, but you will recover quicker. Good Luck!
