Hi Sally,
I am awaiting appointment with MD for results from an MRI brain scan and am interested in what white spots mean too. I found this somewhere. It was a Student Dr or something replying to someone's post on another site (I think I just googled white spots on brain) and this was one response. "White spots on the brain can be many different things. Without seeing the films I can not tell you what they are. What a white spot typically represents is an area of scaring. Many things can cause white spots, such as hypertension, diabetes, migraine, inflmmatory disorders, and trauma to name a few. Again, without seeing the films I cannot differentiate these possibilities." Since my tests show I don't have hypertension and diabetes and I don't experience migranes, it leaves inflammatory disorders and trauma or the other few not mentioned by Dr above. Hope there is more information forthcoming. Did you read the recent Psych Central newsletter. There is a good read on it regarding MRI's. http://psychcentral.com/blog/archive...ntally-flawed/ Trying to keep an open mind, HB
