Hi everyone! Thanks for the messages! Teretxu, I'm only putting off the Sinemet kind of meds because I don't want to experience the dyskenisia I've heard is so common. I'm on Prozac to control the depression, though, and that's helped tremendously. I'm also taking big doses of CoQ10 - Lord knows if it's actually a neuroprotective, but I feel better on it - more energetic. I also see an acupuncturist regularly and she's awesome.

For laughs, I love to watch 30 Rock. I do improv comedy with a troupe and take classes (in Musical Improv), so I definitely believe laughter is the best remedy!!

Default it iis good that you are being conservative with sinemet

there are a whole host of drugs that can help you before you get to the point of sinemet therapy. Most of us have 10 good years on sinemet before dyskinesia becomes a problem. EVen then it is still better than dystonia and freezing, for me anyway!

Charlie 57, DXed with PD in 1990 started sinemet then, actively started looking for a DBS program in late 2000, DBS-STN (bi-lateral) at UCLA in 2002
