Default DBS and balance

Does anyone have any experience with DBS and balance issues. Lately I cant seem to be able to be on my feet and I'm finding myself sitting i my powerchair for most of the day. I don't think that it is one of the symptoms that responds to DBS.

Thanks

Were you having balance issues before surgery? How long ago did you have your surgery?

Default Hi Jim,

I have had a DBS, both sides, for 7 years. Balance was not one the Parkinson's symptoms that was supposed to be helped. I also have bad balance, espiecially when getting up from a crouching position or turning to fast. Maybe you might consider talking to your Neurologist.

I just wanted to chime in here. I too have had DBS (only one one side). I had balance problems before and still have the problem after. Balance is not one of the symptoms that DBS helps with.
