Default Thai massage

I had a Thai massage yesterday and it felt amazing. It was a gift, and I didn't know what to expect. However, it really eased my symptoms of pain and stiffness straight away, and the effects lasted about 24 hrs. It's the first thing that has had a marked effect on my discomfort as I am on no drug regime yet. I shall go again, although it's not cheap unfortunately. Has anyone else tried this with success over a period of time? The practitioner was very knowledgeable about Parkinson's, and has treated sufferers for 14 yrs with very good results.

Yes, I have found several kinds of massage very helpful. I'd have it every day if I won the lotto.

Default Thailand PwP retreat?

Anyone want to take the lead on organizing a PwP 10 day retreat on some beach location in Thailand? A great Thai massage is typically $20 for 90mins and we could add yoga/meditation/tai chi etc. Great food, friendly locals and safe!

Now this is a thread I can get in to. I started traditional Thai massage over 3 years ago and I consider it part of my on-going therapy. At that time I could not lift my right arm higher than my shoulder without pain. Call me crazy but it helped immensely. I am toying with the idea of going to Thailand next year. My daughter went last year and loved it. caution, skill of the therapist and technique are critical. I live in So Calif where there is a massage parlor on every corner or in every strip mall. Try a few till you get one you like

Sounds good go me. Everyone should just say "Phuket" I'm in!

I would absolutely love a massage everyday! What a difference it would make! Unfortunately it costs £55 pounds for 90 mins here in Scotland. It's interesting that it has made such an improvement in you, Michael/123. That holiday sounds good too. It would be helpful sometimes to be just a little bit rich, not for material things, but for the cost of many treatments.

@ladybird I go almost once a week at $60 for 90 minutes. I am not one to make inflated claims or claims that what work for me work for you. I am active and do a lot of weight training. Weight plus bradykinesia result in very tight and constricted muscles. WHen I first started the therapist referred to my muscles as full of popcorn. My masseuse works very hard and I tip her well. She takes me on as a challenge and is usually exhausted when done. Your mileage may vary but I am addicted to it.
