Default blue indeed

we do seem to gravitate to the blue end - why?

Blue it is for me as well.

@Berte what you're describing about certain numbers and letters relates to Synethesia where the senses are cross-wired. Some musicians see certain colors when they hear particular notes and chords. Some people cross-relate numbers and letters with particular colors. It's a very interesting disorder.

Default blue is found often in nature

consider the sky and the awesome oceans, blue...
the forest of rich green
and the flowers to brighten up the path of life...
all color is found in white - prism light

color is very much healing and I believe those who can not see,
can perceive it through electrical impulses of the awesome brain
we really have very little knowlegde about...

Thank you John C. I never knew that my colorful alphabet was anything but a fun, personal quirk. So it is actually a 'syndrome', runs in families, has a name. I have Synesthesia.
The description of characteristics is interesting. Except for a minor point about a need for absolute neatness, the description fits me so well that I felt as if I, personally, could have been the subject of the findings.
I am very glad to have Synesthesia, it makes everything more interesting, more intense, more beautiful.

Blue. There was a book published some years back on color preference and personalities, It was fun to bring to parties.

Default synesthesia

wonder why "synesthesia" is considered a "disorder"?!

fascinating stuff; makes you wonder about the origins of the phrase "feeling blue" - why that is associated with negative, rather than positive feelings.

Default got the blues?

The blues, depression, and serotonin all go hand in hand. Is the clue there? It has long fascinated me the way our culture stores wisdom in the language. "He saw red!" may be at the other end of the spectrum in more ways than one. Why do we say "green" with envy. "Yellow" for cowardice?

Default politics

Color now is also used to identify political preferences: Red, Blue and Purple states; the Green Party.

I thought I was the only one who made these types of associations!

Default Tuesday

Rosebud - I'm not surprised, neither was I surprised that Carey's weekdays had colors.
What is surprising is that we all agree on Tuesday.
I know a fourth person with colorful days, this one is male, and his Tuesday is also blue.
We must be right if we all four agree that Tuesday is blue.... fun.
