Mirapex or Mirasex, I must have missed that part when I was crawling around my place on all fours. Unlike the male counterpart that you mentioned in a former post who still had illusions that he was desirable on all fours, I knew not only was this unattractive it was weird and I'd better find out what the hell was going on. I like men but I was hiding out.

I was reading your response post without my glasses and I read "prayed" instead of "spayed" (I had to go get my glasses...that one really threw me!)
The answer is "no" to either one!

a nice silkscreened picture of the lovely itchy mucuna plant and the words READY WILLING & DISABLED ... and maybe a tee shirt, too. seriously, what about it? it would a fun group effort and any profits generated could go to a fund for PWP in dire straights. we need an artist, shirt & print researcher for best quality and prices, treasurer, shipper, - this could go way beyond nt and pd if you think about it...[/QUOTE

Well it is now almost 7 pm and I have taken mucana (1/4 tsp) twice today, as directed in warm water. Both times my meds were off and they came back on in less than 15 minutes. The earlier mucuna dose was like a booster to my reg meds and felt like it was there untill at least 4 oclock (5 hours). It does not have the libido lift that the tincture does. Someone else needs to try the tincture to see if they have the same experience as I did. Any Volunteers
I still felt that I needed to keep to my regular schedule, and coincidentaly I could not get my Comptan (entacapone) refilled so I am one med short of my usual cocktail mix. The mucuna seems to be filling in that gap. Going slow and feeling like this will be a benefit. I suspect that for PD the closer we can get to the natural plant, the better the benefit. The tincture is an extraction into an alcohol base. I suspect it is the more beneficial for lagging interest in extracurricular activity. My question is: Why has this been overlooked by main stream medication?? I feel an uneasy hopefulness, like it could all just be gone tomorrow, or it will have a darkside that will counteract its potential. Am I just suffering from impending Post traumatic Parkinsons syndrome?

No money to be made, so who is going to fund research?
Can't promote it commercially because of 1) FDA thugs and 2) interestingly enough, a patent is held by a top neurologist on it even though he doesn't seen to have done any of the research. I have real doubts that the patent would stand a challenge but that takes money. The patent acts as a block to its development and benefits Big Pharma alone. Coincidence of course.

reverett123, At last count there were 34,754 male aphrodisiacs known but no true female ones. Aphrodisiacs are gender selective? You could knock me over with a feather on this one. I had to check to see if you had a grin face following that statement to see if you were serious. You do but that could mean anything. Curious to say the least.

Everett said: It is possible that PWP are particularly resonsive to it. And it seems to affect the female system. That would make it unique. At last count there were 34,754 male aphrodisiacs known but no true female ones.
One serious thought, it might be worth thinking about what the media would do with this story. We could lose access to mucuna altogether if they and the politicians got hold of it. Whatever you do, do NOT let politicians get a hold of this - they don't NEED an aphrodisiac! Peg |
