Jean is an award-winning advocate and, I have observed in other venus, a highly skilled one as well. I haven't done a good job of listening due to overextending myself this week and making some unwise choices.. I ask in all sincerity. Jaye Last edited by Jaye; 08-12-2008 at 06:58 PM. Charlie,
it's tiresome making decisions, but at least it can't be said we didn't try! i'm tired and will be at my father's for awhile - taking a rest. paula

I know the people on this board are talented and intelligent. I fully expect them to take leadership of the projects under discussion, and in so doing, help all people with parkinson's.
I share this with you this in all sincerity, and I hope my answer accomodates you. Jean

There you have it - even the patients don't have the patience. it's enough to make one feel depressed and worthless don't you think? No compassion, so what is it that motivates?
I'm kind of disappointed that more people didn't participate in this idea. it always boils down to a few who speak out. And they don't always particularly like each other...lol. This is a problem. Just like the orgs. Try it......even people that get paid 6 figures - and they do - can't do it. We have been doing it free for a number of years. And have a decent track record in spite of our differences. But only a few can replace the me with we. paula

I can, as I said, provide the resources -- server space, databases, domains, domain management, accounts and email addresses -- for whatever you decide to do. This can live on its own domain somewhere, or we can use the neurotalk.org domain to host this, or whatever the group decides.
My time, unfortunately, is extremely limited so outside of setting things up and ensuring the regular maintenance and what-not is done on the account and databases, I can't be too much more actively involved in things. I can also gladly work with whoever is doing more of the technical side of things to ensure they have everything they need. DocJohn

this project to a level of everything I hoped it would be! Would that be elevated?
Did you say databases? You just swept in here like Super Man and saved the day. I'll start some group pms, with multiple addresses so it will be group pms, after we've had some moments to cool down. Thank you _ i was ready to say a bad word and give it up. Now people are either in or out. We just got a ticket to ride....it's up to us to do this right. paula Quote:

I did not mean to offend you! I love all you guys, CArey, JAye and I am sure Jean when I finally get to meet her! You guys are the BEST! It's just that I have seen this before, it is such a great idea that I don't want us to "talk ourselves" out of trying! I think we have enough info to move forward with this concept! Lets do it!! Carey if you do not wish to be drafted speak up!! I'd suggest Greg and AJ as so-chairs since they are experienced in these matters as is Perry. There are a lot of talented people within our ranks, lets use them!! CHarlie |

i know you didn't mean to offend charlie. What i would like to say to anybody who read the thread with judgement, that there was pressure from the very beginning to speed it up. We were asked to make decisions without even polling the people who would rather drop dead than jump into this tension - which is very hard on pwp. this is ignored.
i suggested another database from a few comments, intuition based on what i know of the forum - i didn't have a chance to ask the forum yet. We didn't know what john was going to offer for sure. i agree that carey should be chair - she has earned it. so by this afternoon, i was a bit punchy...understatement. Now i have hope again - which only causes me to sign off with my signature line Quote:
