Default Looking through the telescope the right way.

This is a thread I started on the P.D.S Forum. It is a thread where we can celebrate the good things that happen to us: our successes however small.Felt that some of us were in need of this.
Today i heard my husband play his melodeon and I rejoiced. Before P.D it used to irritate me,now I celebrate the fact he can still play.

Default Managed to run

4.5 kilometres (approx 3 miles) in 30 minutes running with my daughter who is training for the London marathon.

When I was first dx'ed I wondered if I would be walking five years in.

ECD my mum lives in Ivybridge and we own a place in Bodmin, are you anywhere near those places ?

Neil.

No I live on the wild north coast and there is nothing between us and America except the tiny island of Lundy.

I rejoice every day when I can play the piano with some kind of resemblance of what the music should be.

I was a competitive figure skater from age two. I took a break when my daughters were born and decided to lace up the skates again when they began skating....what the heck!?!? I couldn't balance, I couldn't coordinate the leg motion, etc. I chalked it up to the five year break, shoved the skates in the closet and gave up.

Then I was diagnosed with YOPD and suddenly it became clear what was going on!

Now I take lessons and skate twice a week! It is like learning to walk again, but I'm doing it!

Default i did it!

I just finished writing my research proposal on PD. Took me three months to get a good grip on the current literature, but I am done and sending it off tomorrow. Two of my friends helped me with it, I am glad I asked for help. I have two reasons to celebrate, I am done with the proposal and I ASKED for help when I needed it>
