Default Peripheral neuropathy is the catch-all term--

--for any damage to nerves that happens outside the brain and spinal cord.

With this category, there is mononeuropathy--damage to one peripheral nerve; multiple mononeuropathy--damage to multiple individual nerve tracts; and polyneuropathy--damage to many nerves in many places.
