If my husband ever wore a speedo, I would die. Who invented those anyway? Don't they do a run in Boston in winter with people wearing Speedos? Yikes.
![]() Oh, notice the late time of this post....gotta love cortisone. I got an injection and it must have gone 'global'. Cant sleep a bit, but dont feel too bad, most of the pain is mitigating. Between my infusion and the bursitis shot...not too bad. I am not dancing a jig, but this does feel somewhat better. Give me a week and something else will go haywire.

I am going to crawl into that Snuggie with the lovely cat of MrsD.'s. 6 to 10 inches of snow on the way. It started already. Ugh. Just cold enough for salt not to work on the roads. Blowing to start this afternoon.... foo. It is going to snow for 22 hours. Beware eastern Great Lakes....this should hit you later today and tomorrow. We are in for it all day and nite, here.
That cortisone shot kept me up ALLLLL nite. It also helped even my hideous tibia with the neuropathy my hands and headache. Hmm. I know that steroids are not an option for me, given my propensity for osteoporosis, but I wonder if anything works somewhat as well. Last time they gave me IV steroids, they did not do this well for me, but then again, I was not as sick. On the other hand, I don't like not sleeping or losing bone mass. Hmm.

Yep Bob, we are going to enjoy it here in the 'burgh then toss it over your way.
And now has to be the time that my windshield juice pump decides to die. Sticking my head out the window and spitting just doesn't work as well. And I ran out of salt for the sidewalk. And I lost the left hand of my favorite gloves. And there's a stalagmite growing up over my dryer vent. And, and...I'll think of more. Whining about winter feels better than whining about PN right now. |

Lord, I just looked at myself in the mirror, only because I have somewhere to go today, and lo and behold, I have a big purple thing where I had my biopsy ten years ago! Good thing it doesnt hurt.....however, the self esteem is taking another hit. I dont think I bit it or it would hurt....it is numb. hmmm. No underestimating this doggone disease.
Stupid plow knocked over my mailbox again...good thing we put it in a bucket filled with cement....you can't dig a hole to put it back up in this weather. Hubby had an ingenious idea, put it in a bucket and fill it with cement, and let the plow man have his day....it is banged up but I can just stand it back up, over and over and over....grrrr. Why does he just hit mine? Bob, this may miss you, depends on the track I guess. Look over the Great Lakes, the leading edge probably is starting to hit MI right now...we are in the Eye of the storm. It is light, fluffy snow, but the projected time for it to stay above us is 22-24 hours, and wind to start this afternoon. Shoot, I don't have brownie mix!!

Something i like to do in the winter on a sunny day when out with the car somewhere is to park with the sun coming through the front windshield close my eyes and sit there and make believe for a little while that im really at the beach. It feels great! ha.
Thats a great idea with the mailbox in the bucket. Mine gets knocked down by kids often enough. I only remember being on the road once in the late 80's on route 80 in northwest new jersey where it was too cold out for the salt to melt the ice. It was 1 degree out and all it did was melt and freeze constantly. The gulf stream really helps moderate our weather in the winter. |

I just got back from my errands, and it is just starting to snow. While I was in Costco...a guy came in saying it was ZERO visibility at the airport! So I rushed up to Lowe's about a mile away and got the bird seed. Costco was out of Snuggli's however, dang.

Its unusually cold here in the UK (Dorset) at present temperatures around 0-4c daytime and down to -10C at night. Unknown in my memory.
My PN is really giving me hell (burning) in feet and hands at the moment even though I'm keeping warm. |
