Hi Mere!
I hear you on the weather!
Any A/C?
I do not know how people are getting by without it!
Our weather had record highs today... beat some weather record made some 30-40 years ago.

Yum! Your cooking sounds great! I love things with miso in them!

Wow! Your husband was in quite an accident! Frightening!
We were all very lucky nobody was hurt! Hard to believe anyone would keep on going after they hit someone's vehicle! A teenager in the other vehicle had hopped out (when caught down the road) and had started telling all about how they knew they had hit us! The driver was stating he'd had no idea. Interestingly enough, others in his car were contradicting him.

I am glad your husband is okay!

Sounds like you are hanging in with everything?
Hope you are enjoying the summer, despite the heat!

Always good to interact with you!
Stay cool!

Mere,
It hit a heat index of 105 yesterday here in Balto.
supposed to be hotter by 2-4 degrees today.
I've got outside service calls today & am trying to get to them
before 12:30-1:00 so I can get back to the store and A/C.
The truck has A/C, but it is useless when the engine is off
and I'm working in the back.

Yes, we do have A/C. I don't know what I would do without it! And boy is it cranking. Can't wait to see that electric bill.

I am glad to know you did not have any injuries... still stinks though...

Bob, I hope you can get in and out of this weather ASAP.

Today is my one of three days to go and do 30 minutes of cardio. I am not going today. Don't feel too good and the heat will just make it worse...

Stay well all...

Mere

it was 104 here yesterday and was still 93 at 11 pm last night which is very unusual for us because the ocean usually keeps it cooler here especially at night. even the pool is 94. my daughter is in camp and they took water breaks every 10 minutes the whole day. my feet have been killing me the last two days.

I hate to tell you guys this, but yesterday was beastly hot...no wind either.....coming your way Easterners. So far, today seems a bit better, overcast and a bit cooler, but it is still early!

I am sitting here with my morning coffee....I already let the girls out of their coop and they are busy catching earwigs....and enforcing pecking order. Mere, I had chicken too, lol....just not mine! I have talked to hubby and SIL about having separate meat chickens next year...hubby is unimpressed, SIL says, yes, let's do it! So, we shall see.

I am hoping my numbness and aching resolves by the second cup of coffee!

My purple-yellow Green Beans are ready....Dragon's Tongue! All kinds of veggies are popping. I have made 41 pints of raspberry jam and the raspberries are still on full tilt! I have sold maybe a dozen quarts too. Edible pod and standard peas are frozen. A man stopped the other day to buy and asked to look at my garden and was so impressed. He insisted I must use some synthetics, and I told him, 'No, I don't'. In all fairness, I did get things in early.

My doggies also got their baths yesterday and are all good-smellin' now. I also finally got a tranquillizer for my storm phobic dog, which was a good thing, because yesterday we had a few thunderboomers. Hubby is still mad about the most recent veterinary bill...he is brooding. Whatever. I know women who buy a purse for the price of my vet bill....I am not into accessories. My dogs are my only vice.

Well in 3 weeks I have an emg to decide if I have to have a carpal tunnel release with the tendon transfer they are doing to try to help my hands not hurt so bad and not be so crippled.....we shall see. In a way, I hope it is carpal tunnel, but, lkely it is SNF....and the surgery won't help numbness. But it should relieve the arthritic pain which is quite bad.

This disease sucks and I feel like I am trying to ring the last few drops of a pleasant life from an almost dry rag......but, I am not going to let this get the best of me if I can still do anything....I know that this activity level won't last....I try not to think about that. Right now, my hands feel like I have several pairs of tight gloves on....they hurt and they ITCH inside...(weird feeling that itchy joint feeling). Forever onward.

Happy MID summer to all!
