Question Sorry, Can't Find It

Hi,

Have looked back over pages of threads, but can't find one that I thought had been posted about the use of epsom salts, and it my dim recollection it seemed to be negative.

I use 3 tablespoonsful in bath water. Does anybody know if this is harmful?

Thanks,

Sheltiemom

You should go by what it says on the container.

Lightbulb

I don't think 3 tablespoonfuls is enough for a body bath.
(3 tablespoonfuls is 1.5 ounces)

Maybe for a foot bath in a small container.

I use about 3-4 ounces in a bathtub with sizable water level.

We had someone here try 10 cups! Please don't do that!

Don't use hot water, and only use lukewarm. I just did a 1/2 hr soak of my feet yesterday, and they are very happy today!

Epsom salts make the tub slippery...so do be careful moving about.

That's the one. Thanks, MrsD for clearing that up for me. Knew it was something that wasn't good, just couldn't remember which thread. 3 - 4 ounces seems very reasonable for a tubful of water.
