I only use a 50mg at bedtime very occasionally. (I started with 1/2 tablet in the beginning).

When I first started this drug, that first night was rough. I was very high (almost hallucinating) and had some severe nausea, which passed quickly.

Now it has been several months, over 6 and I can tolerate a whole tablet at night. It tends to last for me well into the next day. I can't imagine for me taking any high doses. I am still working on the first bottle of 30! I think people vary in response depending on their neurotransmitter status in the brain. Opiates also tend to make me more ill, than relieve pain, so I must just be sensitive to them all!

I think for me Lidoderms have been my best medical intervention. I get alot of relief from severe pain (when I have that) from them!

Hi mrsD,
Going on my 4th day of using only baby aspirin and sodium naproxen, was down to 5mg Methadone before quitting. When i was on 300mg Tramadol and 600mg of Lyrica a couple of years back I fell alot and cut off a finger out in the shop. Pain meds seem to aggravate the prostate, its bad enough not being able to walk for a period of time, but not being able to sit and prostate pain is worse than PN pain. Have Lidoderm patches and cream they help with flairups. Am getting use to wheelchair around the house. Legs are shot after an hour or so. There won't be any gardening for me next spring, will sit in the yard wearing a red cap and let the hummers buzz me as they hit the feeders. Have been watching Utube concerning acupressure points.Best to all
Lanny
