Thankyou all so much.
As i read through the posts my eyes all filled up and i thought, geez, what a lucky bloke i am, to know such a really nice bunch of caring people like you all are and i really mean that.

The op will be the following Tuesday [27th feb], but its all happening at once now, i just got another call and they want me in there tomorrow to get the once over by all the specialists, you know to check everything is ok for the op to go ahead.
I haven't got a laptop to stay in touch in hospital, but i will post as soon as i can, they say it can be anything between 5 - 10 days in hospital, depends on how you progress.
I will see if someone in my family will post here, to let you know whats happening.
Billye, i started to have trouble with this darn hip 28 years ago, our family doc said then that when i am about 50 i will need a hip replacement, he wasn't far wrong as i am 53 now, apparently it was purthis disease to start with, acupuncture and magnets have been a god send for a long time, but the last two years its been pretty bad, just got some oxycontin off my doc, it helps a bit.
Once again thank you, each and every one of you.
Brian
