Laugh Glad to hear you are home...

...and doing great. Just do what the doctor's say and don't push yourself beyond your limits as you sure don't want any complications.

Take care.

Thank you Diana, i was going along in heaps and bounds until Thursday when my operated leg all swelled up and i finished up in Casualty [ER] all night, luckily it wasn't a blood clot, just a post operative thing, that is commom after Epidurals and putting to much effort into trying to walk to much, to soon, any way the swelling has gone done a fare bit now and things are going along fine again.
Thanks Di
Brian

Thumbs up The news sounds good.

Hi Brian

Sorry I haven't been here to wish you well recently but my computer has been doing the weirdest things in the last 3 weeks and my PC guru has been working overtime to get me going properly again. A bit like you I guess!

It is great news to hear you are back and doing well even if there is the occasional "blip". Knowing your determination I have no doubt you will be dancing in the isles again in no time at all. It is so good to be able to hear all your news so quickly on this forum and to be able to "speak" with you when there are things to ask.

What is the Aussie summer like now? I am dreading our summer as the heat has a bad effect on me in my old age. I used to love it. Have you got air conditioning in your home at all? Are you allowed to drink or do the drugs clash?

Anyway Brian, I wish you a speedy day by day recovery to good health again.
Cheers Mate This is how I imagine you will soon be looking to me!
Tony

Default Most excellent news

Brain,
I'm really glad that your surgery went well and that your recovery continues to go well too - may it be speedy, complete, and bring you many years of painfree time -

Thanks my old mate I am going along fine, the operated leg still a bit swollen, but gone down to what is was a couple days back, i am not doing anywere near the walking i was doing prior to my leg swelling up,i think it was to much to soon but i am keeping my leg elevated as much as i can and doing lots of exercises to help build leg strength up again and lots of isometric exercises that are non weight bearing to stop any blood clots forming,

Our weather lately has been really nice, we get a couple of real hot stinkers every now and again, but its pretty good over all.
We have a ducted Evaporative cooling System that my brother and i installed a few years back [its real handy to have a brother thats is a plumber
Having being initially diagnosed with Prediabetes, i don't drink beer at all because of all the sugar in it or any other alcohol seeing it is a nerve irritant.

Once again thanks,
Brian
