My back is much better.. 75% .I didn't even realize how much my back was hurting until it stopped. I was diagnosed with PN just last month , and my biggest complaint is the tingling and burning in my feet of course, but the Ball of my foot pain drives me crazy. It feels like I am walking on rocks. The laser has helped it a bit in that area. The laser also helped to bring back the feeling in both of my big toes.
I am so curious to see if your treatment is the bioflex laser and if it is , how they place the pads on your foot area.
I have been reading this forum for several months now but this is my first time posting. I feel so fortunate to have found this forum and to have so much information all in one place.

Hi Donna,

They use the proneuro machine. here is a link:

http://proneurolight.com/index.html

Today was my 18th treatment. I will have an exam by the doc next week and check on OFFICIAL progress/ I would say about a 50% reduction in the burning pains and discomfort/ maybe a bit more in the sensitivity/

HI Rob

Well I have decided to stop treatment after 21 treatments, but may continue in the fall, I do feel that things have improved, just was looking for that magic treatment, I think PN is on of those problems that is going to be hard to find the ultimate cure.. if ever. I know I would recommend LILT , from everything I have read about it, it has helped many people with many different ailments.
thank you for the link , I did browse around the site and it does look similar to the unit that they were using for my treatment.
Thanks for the updates and looking forward to hear you progress.

I had my 20th treatment on Friday thwe 15th.

My feeling is I have about a 65-75% improvement in my PN ymptoms.

THey did the feeling test again and my score was ( i will scan a copy of the last 2 tests when i can)

LEFT 50
Right 52

74 is perfect and you can see my starting score in a prev post......somehwere in the 30s or 40. so there was some definite improvement using the laser.

the plan now is for me to go back in 30 days where he will retest me and see whats happening.

I spent 2600 bux for those 20 treatments and am rather satisified with the results. a machine to do it on my own could be as cheap as 1K. that is what I may do depending on what happens on 30 day retest.

I will wait the 30 days and report back. I can tell all the armchairquarterbacks that I have also spoken to about 10 other PN patients during treatments and ALL have some level of relief. IMO thats a win. you all make your own choices but i can say that the laser has helped me. next test is DOES IT LAST? well just hang on a few weeks and find out.

I am also having very good unexpected results from my
$2.89 laser pointer. I am finding this pointer on several sites now 5mw... in prices ranging from 24.99 to $159.00!

I found mine on Ebay, but it is also on Amazon.com for a similar price. 5mw strength--

This is what mine looks like... and it too has free shipping. $2.89

http://www.amazon.com/Laser-Pointer-...0918357&sr=8-1

I have to do a treatment every day at least to keep the swelling off my surgical ankle and the pain in the medial side away.
If I skip days --3 or more --it returns. 15minutes on the instep and ankle area. Sometimes I do the ball of the foot too (for the sesamoids). It is so much nicer now sleeping, as the foot really hurt at night.

I did it just for a lark, because I am playing laser tag with my kitten as well. She loves that game. So I tried it on my foot...and voila! I replaced her toy laser from Petco which cost about $5.00 and is much weaker in strength, with the long black 5mw one.

I am taking it on vacation, too!

Thanks for the updates, rob.

Wow, that is great Robb... I feel that my treatments helped in some areas also. I also paid over $2000 for the treatments, they are expensive, but if you get pain relief , it is well worth it.

I didn't have any feeling tests done at the clinic I was going to, so it is hard to determine my success, I just know that I do have feeling back in my big toes and has help with some nerve damage that was caused from the achilles tendon rupture repair surgery. It also help with some swelling around the ankle of that foot and really helped reduce some scar tissue at the site of the repair. I was amazed how much better the scar looks.

I would say that my lower back treatment was the most successful . I had so many issues going on with both feet , that the doctor felt it would take a lot of treatments.

I plan to have more treatments in the fall. they say the treatments are cumulative , so taking a break should be ok.

I am curious how the ball of your foot feels.. did it help with that discomfort.

I was also curious about purchasing your own machine.. that wasn't an option and wasn't mentioned at the clinic I went to. I will have to look into it.
Thanks so much for sharing..

donna the balls of my feet have only improved slightly since my last treatment but the remainder of the relief is lasting.

here is something I also noticed.......yesterday I left the house wthout taking my meds/sups. by the time I got home my feet were on fire......i took 4 neurontin as well as all my morning supplements and within 30 minutes my feet were back to the way they were the day before.

Just wondering, is the person or clinic that is preforming the treatments the same one that is giving you the results of these tests? Have you had the results confirmed by your Neurologist?

Does it make any difference what colour you use ?

Does anyone have details about the wave length / pulse width or beam irradiance setting on the machines their being treated with ?

It sounds like their quite few other variables that might be determining how well folk respond.( see below )

The typical laser average power is in the range of 1-500 mW; some high-peak-power, short-pulse-width devices are in the range of 1-100 W with typical pulse-widths of 200 ns. The typical average beam irradiance then is 10 mW/cm2 - 5 W/cm2. The typical wavelength is in the range 600-1000 nm (red to near infrared), but some research has been done and products are available outside this range.

* MrsD Im going to try your pointer theory out too and will post back once I recieve my pen - maybe a week or two ( hope u had / have nice break )
