If one sustained nerve damage, or PN, from a toxin, is it possible to repair the nerve damage? It is my understanding that some toxins cause permanent nerve damage and, if that is the case, is there anything that can be done or taken to help repair the nerves? If the nerve damage is permanent, will it progress and get worse or remain stable?

I have my neuropathy for 6 years now. also - from toxins. After I realized that the problem was with the chemicals I worked with - I quit.. retired. My neuropathy is stable more or less. According to my neurologist - regeneration of nerve cells can occur only if the cell didn't die. Still hope for complete regeneration..

Yes, I agree. Continue with drugs or other toxins, and no healing may occur. Some toxins, like Thallium, if ingested enough, can destroy the nervous system and lead to death.
Others like arsenic also can lead to permanent damage.(if the amount is high enough). There are some books on Google with details about toxins and pesticides. Just put in "neuropathy toxins" in the search. I put in an interesting article on the Mitochondria post about damaging mitochondria which are involved in the conduction of signals down the long axons. It gives a mental image of how this happens. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread80999.html
