More on adenosine:
This is a medical site listing medical uses: http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supple...OSINE&source=3 Adenosine is used by the mitochondria during energy production. So it stands to reason, supporting the mitochondria, may improve pain levels too. The supplement itself, appears iffy taken orally. I am still looking around about it. This is what adenosine is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adenosine_triphosphate Notice the ribose presence? Athletes typically use ribose (a sugar) for increasing energy. And notice magnesium is crucial to proper functioning of ATP also.

Glad your looking into this....I saw the article yesterday and did a brief check but couldn't lock into anything I could act on so I put it on the back burner. I remember, way back, reading about ribose for energy and seriously considered it for John when his fatigue was really bad. Life Extension had a lot of info on it. It's something you have to take all the time to reap the benefit from it but maybe it has more, far reaching benefits.
Thanks... Marlene |

I am still looking at papers on ribose... I was concerned about blood sugar and A1C effects.
So this article seems promising: http://www.ispub.com/ostia/index.php...n1/dribose.xml I've decided to try it, at the modest dose first, and will be ordering it from iherb today. About $25 for 8 oz of powder. I would love to get some of my stamina back and sore muscles some relief! I'll bump up this thread with results! ![]()

Wasn't there a supplement in the 90's called Enada? It was some adensoine tri or di phosphate?? If I am correct.....just can't remember anymore. It was recommended for Fibro and CFS. It was expensive if I remember correctly.

Yes, I tried that too. It made shot anxiety thru the roof. It's called CO-E1 or ENADA. They still have a website. The best mito boosters I have taken and been able to tolerate are Ubiquinol(CoQ10)and Magnesium. Magnesium stimulates Adenosine I beleive.
