Default PN and compression socks?

Hello, I am new here and wonder if anyone has experienced my situation and what did you do about it? I have PN that was about 80% controlled with 1200 mg gabapentin and Klonopin. Then my legs began swelling. Ultrasound showed "leaky" vein valves. The vein specialist prescribed graduated compression socks, and my life hasn't been the same since. The PN pain has greatly increased. I can't wear the socks. Well, I could if I didn't need to sleep at all. Also, I was told that 30 min. walking/day would help those pesky valves, so I have been walking at a moderate pace on the treadmill every day. And wearing just plain old knee socks, which help a little. I don't want to end up with a serious valve problem. I upped both meds and that didn't help much. Can anyone help? Thank you so much.
