Default PA and antihistamines

I was diagnosed with PA about 6 weeks ago. Prior to that I was suffering from the exhaustion/fatigue and lack of energy.

I was so exhausted, I had figured that I was suffering from a sleep disorder and went to the DR to find out which led to the diagnosis. Since I was thinking my sleep was off, there were several nights I would dose myself with Benedryl to help me sleep. It actually did help, I would wake up with energy, although not even close to the boost that the B-12 supplements provide.

So I was wondering if anyone might know why the Benedryl seemed to help, even though it was the anemia causing the sleep/energy issues?

Just wondering.
