I posted here before about Tramadol making me have nausea and vomiting.I went to PA today And he said to discontinue it for a while to see if that could be the culprit. I have had these episodes about once a week. I experimented with lower dose of Tramadol and that didn't seem to help.
He did order blood and urine test to see if something else could be cause. It seemed like there was a time lag like tak Tramadol at 7 pm and get sick at 7 am. Tramadol was sure good for pain relief. |

You may be a slow metabolizer of this drug. Hence it may build up in your system unpredictably and that is when you get the side effects. Only a DNA test for Cytochrome P enzymes will reveal that.

I have gone almost a week without Tramadol. No nausea or vomiting episodes. I have been on gabapentin 2700 mg. My pain PA said I am close to my max dose per day. I have managed to get by on this 2700. I think my pain has stabilized. I was used to asking for higher doses every few months.

Do you take Cymbalta too? Cymbalta has liver damage warnings attached to it.
