Hi eliLAKE

Welcome to NeuroTalk :).

I am sorry to read about your response to Verorab.

As far as I can see its standard immunisation schedule is three (not five) 1 mL doses on days 0, 7 and 28.

Rabies Vaccine BP - Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC) - (emc)

This and other information in the link could be worth discussing with your doctor.

All the best.

In my country, standard immunisation schedule is five Verorab shot on days 0, 3, 7, 14 and 28. I have little delay because kitten look healty and bite is provoked. And all times i have bad reaction like insomnia, muscle aches, frequent urination, stiff neck, headache, low body temperature max 35.6. And now after 4 month i have tingling, stiff joint on hand, burning hand, arm and back. My doc think i am crazy, send me to psychiatrist.

Per your provided link, the pre exposure schedule is three doses, the post exposure schedule is indeed five doses.

EliLAKE, I hope you have found help. There are so many things that can happen with vaccines and pharmaceuticals. Erethyma may be a sign of Stevens Johnson Syndrome. Please keep us updated. Just because you received no replies does not mean the community is not thinking of you. We're just at a loss. I don't think anyone on this thread has reported erethyma.

Christmas Eve again, three years ago I was bitten by the bat. Just checking in to let everyone know I'm still here, and I'm doing well. Peace.

Hi Dears,

I live in India, Bangalore. I was bitten by a 6week old pet puppy on my left foot. It was a very small incision on my feet. Doctors had seen my injury mark and said no treatment required because the puncture was superficial. I had also washed with running water and put in Dettol(antiseptic). I however got anxiety issues and took the anti rabies vaccine 3 days later. As of Today I have completed 3 doses of Abhyrab vaccine and it’s been 4 days since 3rd dose is completed. Unfortunately I have no contact with the puppy since it was in a different city.

Last few days I had mild tingling/burning sensation on the sole of my feet. Both foot sometimes. No other symptoms. This thing is driving me crazy and giving me sleepless nights. I took multi- vitamin tablets for a few days and did not have the similar symptoms but kept feeling thirsty and hence stopped the Vitamin treatment.

I wanted to know if this is anti rabies vaccine and body acting up or this is rabies pronouncing loud and clear. Help me pls.

Three days is well within the necessary time frame to receive post exposure vaccine. Most likely your symptoms are neuropathy from the vaccine.

That’s relief for now. If possible I will post my progress if it helps others.
