Titer
Not sure how many of you guys are still checking in every now and then! But for those who have gotten titers or who've tried to get titers, what was your experience like? It's been 4.5 months since the bite and the full vaccination series. For a while I've forgotten about the incident but each time my left hand gets tingly, I get very anxious and I would just like some peace of mind that the vaccine worked. When I asked to get the titer done back in April/May (1 month after I completed the vaccination series), my doctor said that I didn't need it, that titers are normally done for vets and people who have recurring exposure to animal, which isn't the case for me. Given that I got my first 3 shots (HRIG and 2 doses of the vaccine) in Israel and the remaining 2 in Chicago, I'm worried that there may be inconsistencies as they were definitely different brands. My doctor said it was fine, it's the same thing, etc., but it would still be nice to have some positive confirmation through a titer.
|
:grouphug: Hi Hope21! Can't address the titer issue as all my doctors also said it was unnecessary and I never had one done. Just here to say it's been a month since my last posting, and again I'm in a good place where there are no bothersome symptoms, and the whole bat/rabies vaccine experience hardly crosses my mind. 18 months out and counting, fewer and less severe flares. What an experience this has been, and again what a great thing this forum has been. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

antibiotics?
Hey everyone just checking in. I've continued to have symptoms almost 16 months after the shots.
I'm curious if anyone else had antibiotics around the time of the shots? |
Rabies phobia uncured by prophylaxis
As sorry as I am that everyone here has had such rough experiences, I am so grateful that so much has been shared. I myself had an "exposure" to rabies (via sick, evil squirrel 😅) and received HyperRab HRIG in my gluteus and ImoVax into my left deltoid. I already have a rabies phobia as it is (since I was little) and these weird symptoms are ruining my life. I have strange numbness and tingling in my right foot which may have started the night I got the HRIG, but when I got my second vax in my right deltoid the day before yesterday, I began getting sharp searing pains shooting from the tips of my fingers to my elbows and shoulder blade, and that's my exposure hand, too! Too make matters worse, they didn't inject ANY HRIG around the exposure site, only in my butt, and the terror of vaccine failure has me locked in a state of permanent panic and depression. I feel like all I'm doing is waiting for the rest of the symptoms to show up. It just never leave my mind
Someone, please, help me here. Talk me off the ledge. I'm an otherwise healthy 27yr young mother of one little boy. And I can't bear the thought of just not being here with him anymore. I'm just crippled right now. |
Hello, Dizmissjewels, your vaccination experience seems similar to mine in that they didn't infiltrate/inject immunoglobulin around the bat bites in my hand...said it was too bony. The Imovax went into the left deltoid, and the immunoglobulin into each thigh and the right deltoid. You have probably read my saga along with the others here. I am now one year and eight months out from being bitten and vaccinated. Currently, I'm having a very good run of time with very few symptoms, just the occasional tingling in the bottom of the feet, and occasional myoclonus as I fall asleep. I don't know if the rabies paranoia ever will leave. I always enjoyed the outdoors, but am now edgy around our woodpile, and old houses. I still have been back to our daughter's house only briefly one time and couldn't wait to get out of there. I won't stay over night or for any lengthy visit until they have the place inspected for bats. They're working on it, but the old place is still full of holes. In August I went hiking in the woods, and had a really good time with no anxiety over the wildlife factor. But bats....I hope never to see another bat as long as I live. If you are reacting to the vaccine as you described, you may have a bit of a rough ride ahead. All I can say is be encouraged by what you read here. Most of us come out O.K.
|
P.S. Those who have not come out so "O.K." are still alive and did not die of rabies. They unfortunately have had lasting neurological effects. Not to minimize that...it's not good, but it's not vaccine failure, they're still here.
|
Wish you'd post again
Very concerned about you Dizmissjewels!

Squirrels
Dizmissjewels, where are you located, (general area)? Searched squirrels and rabies, and the CDC website states that generally squirrels, mice, rats, and chipmunks don't transmit rabies, and there are no known cases of squirrels transmitting rabies to humans in the United States. It would be interesting to hear the circumstances surrounding your bite and treatment. Hope you are doing better.

Two years out from receiving the rabies vaccine series and I'm still here. Most symptoms gone...occasional myoclonic jerks as I fall asleep (associated with over-doing and fatigue.)

I read all the posts in this thread and while currently experiencing a rollercoaster of anxiety and weird symptoms decided to sign up and share my story. Some comments already helped me a lot but I'm really looking for some comforting words that everything will be okay.
A month ago I was lightly bitten in the knee by a street dog in rural Thailand. As I was traveling and the wounds were only small I didn't really pay much attention to it. 6 days later I found out that the area the attack occurred is endemic for rabies. I kinda panicked and quickly started vaccination at a local public hospital. 5 doses on day 0, 3, 7, 14 and 28. I was not prescribed immunoglobulin. Later that day I decided to visit a private hospital for the immunoglobulin. I opted for the purified equine version for budgetary reasons. Since then I have had awful bouts of nausea and general malaise and weakness and all kind of weird other short lived symptoms such as a rash and swollen lymph nodes in the groin. It mostly comes a day or two or three after the vaccine injection and gets a bit better 3 days later. Never any fever though. I also had a near pass out on one of the good days after drinking a beer. Everything suddenly became black with heavy sweating and heart palpitations. Passed after about 15 minutes lying down though. Exactly a week ago I had my 4th injection and as expected the same symptoms of tiredness, malaise and nausea happened but it faded after only two days and thought the worst was over. Then yesterday I started feeling an annoying light pain in the bitten knee and I get myoclonal spasms when I relax the leg. Mostly in the affected leg but occasionally also in the other leg and in my abdomen. So now I'm started to freak out again. Did I wait too long with the PEP? Could it be paralytic rabies? Or is my anxiety just causing these symptoms in conjunction with a bad vaccine reaction? Apart from the heavy feeling in my arms and legs I also have quite a bit of muscle pain in both shoulders and my right leg and buttocks. I started vaccinations 3 weeks ago, am I correct that by now my antibodies should be sufficient to fight of any rabies in my body, should I be infected? I asked and called around for a RFFIT titer test just to make sure, but the quickest option is a day travel to a lab and then waiting 17 days for the result. That's kinda useless if I am actually starting to show rabies symptoms. :( I am prescribed Lorazepam to deal with the anxiety, and it works fairly well, but don't want to take it too often for obvious reasons. Someone please ease my mind! |
Hello there, Thaitraveler
As you have read this entire thread, you know the roller coaster of symptoms and emotions you are experiencing are very understandable. It's an awful place to be in. Hopefully you attended to even that light bite with lots of soap and water right away. Six days out from the bite isn't ideal for treatment, but keep in mind, even here in the United States, an unvaccinated dog is held in quarantine for 10 days observation before the bitten person goes for rabies treatment (if the dog shows positive within that 10 days) so your time frame window isn't too bad. I was three days out from my bat bite before I began PEP. I know it's small comfort, but you've done everything correctly, you've done everything possible, and now your only option is to sit tight and see how everything plays out. Remember too, that incident in the Middle East where a group of severely bitten people received Imovax 14 days after exposure and survived. So glad you found us on this site. For me the support here was far more honest and assuring in a different way than what the doctors had to offer. It's hard, you run yourself around in circles mentally and emotionally, only to arrive at the same conclusion
every time, "I've done all I can, there's no more to be done." On top of the anxiety, there are the unpleasant physical side effects. For all of us here except two who were repeatedly vaccinated, the symptoms did subside, things got much better, and in spite of a few lingering effects, life is so good and we're glad to be here. Don't be surprised if new neurological symptoms crop up over time. The seizures and partial paralysis didn't present for me until two and three months post vax. Hopefully you will find a good neurologist and a good infectious disease specialist to guide you through this. Mine ran some basic tests, but erred on the side of caution and didn't go all invasive risking more side effects. The best thing they did was reassure me the test results were normal, and things would improve. When the neurologist told me it might take two years or more for the neurological side effects to subside, that was hard to take, but she was right. Two years out and as I said in my last post, some sleep associated myoclonus, and I have to be careful not to physically over-do. |
Thank you for your uplifting words. Right now I'm still in the stage where there is the doubt I'm getting rabies. The tremors sure doesn't help that. But since I've had no headaches or fever and appear to not have actual muscle weakness (just feels that way), I have to keep telling myself that the vaccine did or is doing I ts primary job. I'm sure after a few more weeks of this feeling and not getting rabies or worse I can come to terms with this and can deal with the neuro symptoms as they present, like everyone of you guys do or did. I just need to get through this fear stage first.
|
And that is the root of the worst of it, the nagging, underlying fear of vaccine failure. So many of the neurological symptoms are also the symptoms of rabies, it really works on you and causes tremendous anxiety. Yes, as time passes and rabies doesn't develop, you slowly get a grip on yourself again, but it is oh, so hard. Then it's a matter of dealing with how the vaccine reaction affects your day to day functioning, the physical pain, fatigue, and sometimes bizarre neuro symptoms. Unless someone has lived through this, they really can't understand. I'm thankful to have come as far as I have, life is good, and I wish and hope the same for you.

Hello
So Ive read through the earlier entries and its comforting but the most tragic part is reading the last one on Thaitraveller he was six days late and now he has no updates . I was bitten by a stray dog in Delhi didnt even bleed and I was drunk it was on my hand so I didnt really bother since it didnt actually bleed but 5 days later I took the vaccine and Immunoglobulin . After my third shot I started having a numb feeling on left arm and left feet ( at this point I thought I was gonna die ) its been 10 days and its not getting worst and its not getting any better . Might be the rabies acting on my system or could be post vaccine side effect either way reading through all these threads gave me the confidence to face anything that'll come my way . BTW i sign up just to post

Hello Tobius
Glad this thread has been of some reassurance to you. I too, am wondering what happened to Thai Traveler. The experience of being bitten by the bat and the ensuing difficulties with the vaccine reaction have been so life altering that I still check in on this forum every day unless I am away from home, just to see if someone new has found this thread. I also intend to check in and post every Christmas Eve, the anniversary of getting bitten, just to let people know I'm still here, and OK. Actually, I'm now doing very well, and hope the same for you.

With those symptoms, I would check in with a doctor. Try to get in touch with a good infectious disease doctor and a good neurologist. Perhaps ask for a referral from whomever is administering the shots to you. Finding good doctors who know their stuff can be tricky. I was fortunate. Only frustration was having infectious disease doc tell me my neurological symptoms were "stress." Thank goodness for the neurologist who admitted my symptoms were classic vaccine reactions and might take 2-21/2 years to clear. I'll keep checking in, let me know how you're progressing.

22 year old Thailand traveler
I hope this thread is still active since I could really use some support. This past month has been probably the worst of my life. On August 28th of 2019, I was traveling Thailand with my boyfriend and I got bitten by a monkey. My skin did not break and I could not find any blood or even the wound. I suffer from anxiety and get paranoid very easily, so I decided to begin the rabies vaccine course. In Thailand, it is 5 shots and, although this seemed like an inconvenience to my trip, I did not think much about it. I didnÂ’t think about the risks since I have been getting vaccinated since I was a baby and have had no (known) side effects or complications. This was probably the worst mistake of my life since I now experience symptoms like burning toes, non existent water drops on my legs and side of my head and a weird prickly sensations throughout my body and some muscle weakness. I began with a tingling sensation on my fingers and toes after the second shot on August 31st. That night I was laying down and the left side of my body went numb and I felt like I couldnÂ’t breathe. At one point, I felt like I fainted. I went to a nearby clinic and they told me that it was, not related to the vaccine. I am not sure if what happened was a panic attack but this is when I started to experience all the symptoms that i previously described. Also, the night before this incident, I drank with my friends to the point of intoxication. Mind you, I had asked the doctor at the place where I got the first shot on the 28th if I could drink and he said it was okay to drink a day after the shot. Even with the doctorÂ’s approval, I understand how irresponsible of me it was to drink after beginning a vaccine course.
I took the third and fourth shot in Thailand and the fifth shot in Japan on September 25th. I got back to the U.S on the 3rd of October and saw my doctor the day after. He told me it was completely unnecessary for me to have taken the shots. I also made the mistake of telling him I had severe anxiety over this situation and he basically dismissed everything I said as symptoms of anxiety. He refused to write me a referral to a neurologist and, instead, made me do a bunch of labs to rule out Lyme disease, diabetes, and other infections. He also put me on hydroxyzine, which I have taken before, and IÂ’ve been taking it for 4 days. He wants me to wait 4-6 weeks for progress, but I still experience burning toes, feeling of water drops on my right knee and right calf, and random prickly feeling on my legs, feet, hands and arms. I also feel random twitches on my knees and calves and my knees feel a bit weak. I can still walk with no problem but it feels a bit awkward. None of these symptoms are consistent since they happen randomly and go away soon after. However, they are all very concerning and IÂ’m scared that I suffer from neurological damage and that, by delaying treatment, I am just letting my condition get worse. What should I do? Should I just wait to see if my symptoms get better, as my doctor advises, or should I look for another doctor? |
Hello 22 year old Thailand traveler
Sorry for what you are experiencing, glad you found this thread. I can't imagine any doctor saying the rabies post exposure protocol was unnecessary after an encounter such as yours with a monkey! Bad neurological reactions to the vaccine are no fun, but rabies is a death sentence. After much reading and research, I'm wondering why more doctors don't insist on travelers to Africa and Asia getting the pre-exposure vaccine before they go to these countries where rabies is endemic. WHO recommends it. After discovering the bat bites on my hands I was ready to fight for the vaccine if they tried to deny it to me! The neurological sensations you are experiencing are very real, and anxiety plays into the situation also, which I consider quite normal. Being bitten and going through treatment is traumatic. At this point your best option is to sit tight and see what develops. If it becomes unbearable, seek out a good neurologist who will run some tests to reassure you (blood test for autoimmune, EEG), but not go all invasive and extreme. Also be prepared to accept that the neurological side effects may wax and wane, seem very bizarre, and be with you for possibly years. For a long time it was nearly impossible for me to walk, and walking was very painful. If you've read the entire thread, you realize that with few exceptions, we've come out alright. Hoping the best for you.

Hello htx gal
ATX_Man's posts were extremely helpful and on point. They were also a great help to me. He hasn't posted since 10/29/15. Most people seem to drop off the thread when they are well "Out of the Woods" so to speak. It would be reassuring to know how everyone is doing 5,10,even 20 years down the road after treatment. All the best with your course of recovery!

As for my symptoms, I wouldn’t say they are unbearable, just mostly annoying. I am a person that loves resting and its terrible that every time I lay down now I am hyper aware of every single twitching, tingling, and twinging sensation in my limbs. If I am walking I don’t feel anything, it’s just when I am laying down or sitting. Was this also the same for you? I guess one of my main concerns is that the alcohol’s reaction with the vaccine was the main culprit in offsetting these neurological symptoms since, prior to the second shot, I had not been experiencing any abnormal sensations. I feel very confused. Everybody just wants me to wait, but I am scared that my symptoms will get worse and that I will end up paralyzed or losing complete sensation. If you don’t mind me asking, when did it get to the point that you were unable to walk and what was this due to? Joint pain? Should I also expect my symptoms to worsen with time? How long did it take you to recover and are you fully recovered now? Sorry, I read all of the posts on this threads, but I already forgot some information. Thank you so much once again! Also, sending some positive vibes to everyone in this group. |
I completed the vaccine series near the end of January, 2017, and the difficulty with walking began in March, so almost two months later. Along with extreme pain, I also experienced a partial paralalsys. My left pelvis/hip just would not move normally and it was as if I had to swing my entire left body forward to take a step with my left leg. It is not surprising that you are most bothered by the twitching, etc., at rest. My neurologist explained that the twitches are actually small seizures, which occur during the time when the brain is in a "pre-sleep" mode. I'm no expert, but that may also explain why your problems presented with the alcohol consumption. I wouldn't guilt on that though, due to allergies I don't drink at all, and my neurological symptoms came on anyway. My progression began with my right foot twitching (literally fluttering) at rest, and over the course of a year progressed to the problems walking, pain, neuropathy, nocturnal seizures, myoclonus, and auditory hallucinations. Was not fun at all. I kept wondering what would happen next, and if I'd ever get better, and if so, how much better. I'm glad to now report that exept for a rare twitch in my right foot at rest, all of my symptoms are gone...the pain, paralisys, seizures, myoclonus, neuropathy, auditory hallucinations...all gone. I am walking just fine, pain free. Everyone's symptoms seem to run a slightly different course. Hopefully yours will be mild and brief.

Update on my current status
Since I've had my last shot recently I would like to share my exp. So far
I took the vaccine 5 days after the initial contact with a stray dog ( as it didnt look rabid ) and I went to the same place 14 days later to find the same dog with his pack still grumpy as ever which is a sign of relief but by this time Ive had two shots and the vaccine did a number on me I had anxiety which didnt go away even after being reassured nothing is gonna happen by 5 Doctor's yeah call it any name you like xD I went to see 5 different Doctors from 3 different Hospitals here in Delhi 1 from Aiims 3 from Safdurjang Hospital and finally 1 from RML Hospital ( the Dr from RML was ****** since there were a lot of emerglency and me being present there with my anxiety didnt do much 😂 ) . I recently took my fourth shot and now the muscle and joint pain are starting to kick in again plus I've been drinking a lot the past 2 month and this did a number on me too . All in All my mind is fresh , my body isnt left leg knee down slightly numb and with pins and needles from time to time and left hand elbow down also have pins and needles but lower back pain is gone ( the best part ) . Thank you everyone and Thank God . Thai Traveller do not worry too much I know my words will not be enough but you'll be fine , you should hang out with your bf the symptoms will go away one day . God bless you all thank you so so much 😭🙏 |

Also, another thing that I am wondering is about your experience with the reactions between alcohol and the vaccine. Did you continue drinking throughout the whole process, if so, how soon after you got the first shot? I completely stopped drinking after the messy experience I had with the second shot. I don’t know if I should just stop completely drinking until I no longer have any symptoms. I am scared that if i continue drinking I will do more damage to my nerves or something 😩 it’s been hard though as I am 22 years old and that’s what I’m constantly surrounded by. |

I think you will understand as you are only a year younger than me on how life is kinda here and there , you just wanna escape or do something about it but there are a few harder days and those days you drink . Thats my life for the last two months . At one point after the Whole rabies thingy I literally couldn't sleep at night my anxiety was too much panic attacks and living nightmares ( When I close my eyes its like my inner demon takes form smilling at my long suffering ) . I would drink water every few minutes to make sure I am not hydrophobic , stand under the fan to make sure I am not aerophobic , turn on the lights of my phone to make sure I am not photophobic , it was not nice and at one point I was so broken I went outside smoke a cigarette and prayed for 4 hours and tell all my christian friends to pray for me and told them about the notes I left them . It was hard mentally to know you are gonna die at a young age without any proper chance to thank your parents for taking care of you . Lets get super personal I am at the lowest point of my life right now and I had to add rabies , but maybe it was necessary thinking back now even if it was only a week or two time ago I am glad I had that level of mental challenge I now find peace with myself . There is no single piece of advice thatll help you Ive been through it and I know but there was this exp for me where I met people who got bitten by stray dogs on multiple occasions over the part 2-3 years and didnt develop rabies at all that was a little light in the cave I was in. To answer your question I took my last shot on the 14th this month ( took it two days after the appointed time cause of my busy schedule and over populated hospitals ) . The reason I still took the shots well I was drunk so there is this part of me that says you are drunk so the dog you saw was another dog 😂 . ** And thank you Batbite for always taking your time to talk to us . You sir are a light in this darkness that is post vaccine problems . God bless you man 🙏 |
Tobius, reading your last post brought back vividly just how dark and difficult the post vaccine reaction can be. Describing it to the average person, or even to most medical personnel, they just can't believe it, or dismiss it as over the top anxiety. Unless you have lived it you just don't know. I too, am a praying Christian and have prayed many times for everyone on this planet who has had an encounter with rabies, or even the shadow of the possibility of rabies.

Results came in, very nervous
Hey all, so things aren’t looking very good for me. I got some lab work done a couple of weeks ago and just got the results from my doctor. My ANA (antinuclear antibody) test came back positive, which means that I may have an autoimmune disease. Did any of you guys test positive for this and have any advice regarding this? Could this possibly be related to the antibodies from the vaccine? I am very scared now and am thinking the worst. The doctor wants to retest me, but at this point, I don’t know how I will cope with the anxiety of having to wait to see what is wrong with me. this is terrible since I felt like I was starting to learn how to deal with the weird symptoms. Now this.. :/
|
bacc, your doctor is probably trying to rule out other reasons for your neuro symptoms. My ANA came back negative. There are other reasons for a positive ANA; false positive, medications, even street drugs. That is why the doctor wants a re-test at some point. Hang in there and the next time you see the doctor have a list of questions ready. If by chance you do have another autoimmune problem unrelated to the rabies vaccine, that would be hard news to take, but at least you would know about it and be able to take care of it. Again, I'm no expert, but a reliable website I visited stated that all autoimmune diseases detected via ANA are treatable. It's a lot to deal with. Stay strong. When you have those moments of dark anxiety, don't be hard on yourself, be kind and patient.

Flare
Okay the pain in my left thigh returned this morning its not painful enough to ruin my day but its there and I might be having some perceptive weakness on my left leg . I can't wait to earn some big money and fund some big research on microbial genetics , Microbiology and co .
Bacc I havent gone to test my status as I am still under medication . I hope its nothing serious and that you recover well . I will be praying for you 🙏 . |
Hey tobius! Thank you for opening up in the last post. I’ve been feeling very similar, randomly crying, beating myself up for not taking better care of my body and feeling as though I have let my mother down [i am very close to her and she always worries so much about me]
It’s a confusing position to be in because I sometimes beat myself up for being so anxious and getting so many shots, but I also know that my anxiety would have been even worse if I hadn’t taken them at all. Like batbite has described before, the neurological symptoms may be temporary, but rabies is a death sentence. It’s crazy how quickly your world can change. If anything, this experience is teaching me not to take my life for granted. I just hope that we both recover well like @Batbite. Also, I’m experiencing similar symptoms as you. I also feel a perceived numbness in my lower left leg. Like when I touch it, I can feel every sensation and I can move it just fine, but when it’s resting, it just feels kind of odd.. like a little numb and heavy. I don’t know how to explain it. By any chance, do you feel the pain on the side of your body where you got the shot? I feel pain on my left leg and It’s kind of weird because I also got the shots on my left arm. I have also started to feel some pain on my left knee. I hope this is because I worked out for the first time in forever 3 days ago. For me, the most annoying symptom is the phantom water drops out of nowhere. I feel like water is falling on random parts of my body at times, but when I touch, there’s nothing there. It’s really annoying. Thank you both so much for your warm thoughts! I will keep you all updated. I hope the results were just a false positive :( |
Quote:
What you are describing is quite similar to my experience so I might put the ana test a bit higher in my priority list . It could be rabies never leave this thought and try to find peace against all odds , it works for me after a month of struggling through the insomnia , the anxiety and the pain . You can do it too . It sounds like Im bragging now peace out and Batbite again I cant thank you enough Shana Tova Brother |

The first, usually from an ELISA (an immunoassay), is measuring the level of ANA as a titre; the higher the titre the more ANA are present in your blood. The second is observing the staining pattern of those ANA in cell nuclei. Terms like "speckled" or "nucleolar" are used to describe this. Both false-positive and false-negative ANA test results are known. Because of this they are best regarded as confirmatory rather than diagnostic of an autoimmune disease. The information in this link may help you with this. RACGP - Antinuclear antibody test |
Posting for my wife as we are 3 weeks in post rabies vaccine with similar side effects to what I’ve read here and no end in sight.
She is experiencing nerve/muscle fasiculations all over her body that began in her foot and slowly worked up her body which include headaches, ear tenitis, back pain and major anxiety. The worst part is she is an ER Nurse practitioner so knowing too much is not always a good thing...especially for anxiousness. We’re out of Houston and after seeing a few Neurologists and other doctors, nothing conclusive other than wait and see.. All that being said anything that you all have done to minimize symptoms or help with sleep? From what I’ve read in this thread thus far the b12 has seemed to help in addition to sparkling water. These have helped minimally but once we think these nerve issues are gone for good they pop right back up so any advice/assistance would be comforting. |
Hello Arose + update on my status
Quote:
Sorry to hear about your wife . The part where you say knowing too much can be problematic is indeed true , when the first few symptoms kicked in I was anxious read through google stuff over and over again which didnt help much only made my condition worst . And the supplementation or medication in this case Magnesium and B12 is indeed helpful Ive had them and really helped me . Back pain flares up randomly on my left side from time to time I dont pay attention to it anymore . You being there with her is also really cool , keep it up man 🙏 aside from these few stuff I have nothing else to add I am sorry I cant do more for you . Hope your wife recovers soon will be praying for her . After 2 weeks of medication my condition improved the throbbing in my left leg is reduced by a lot its still there but its negligible and the pain in elbow is also going down but carpel tunnel like pain in my left hand is still there . And the worst part is insomnia a miss class on a regular basis these days but this too shall pass I guess . Apart from these its all cool now anxiety is gone and sometimes I forgot about them . Thanks everyone 🙏 |
Thanks
Thanks to all who have opened up and are currently posting here. It is so great when human beings open up in order to help one another. The left-sidedness of so many symptoms is not unusual. I don't know why. My bites were in my right hand. First round of shots were; HRIG right deltoid, right and left thigh; Imovax left deltoid. The remaining three Imovax shots were; right deltoid, left deltoid, right deltoid. Although there were symptoms on both sides of my body at random times, the major pain and difficulty with movement were in the left pelvis and leg. I don't know what the significance is, but even dogs that react badly to rabies vaccine tend to have left hind leg paralysis.
