As far as I know, there is only one flu shot. I don't think different varieties are offered. I personally know of no one that has gotten (or suspected even) PN from the shot...other vaccines may have a higher risk. MrsD is the best source for this discussion.

I would think you and your doctor should decide which is the best based upon your current condition...and how the flu itself might affect this if you got it. You need to weigh the risk vs complications of flu in this case.
