I suppose any bigger hospital will have the same timing issues. My Neuro sent in a referral weeks ago (2 1/2?) and I hadn't heard back. I called them today and they didn't have my referral
![]() What was your experience with the larger or university hospitals? Was it in and out within a couple hours? All day? Did you keep having to go back? Has anybody been to UCSF? Frustrated today. Last night my daughter (10 years old) said I was faking my pain. My brother's wedding is the weekend after next. I have a ton of stuff to do around the house before my mom and sister shows up (they're staying one night at my house, then heading over to stay in a hotel near my bro). I have to get the garden stuff done. Can't do much with my hands. It sucks knowing I have so much to do and just can't do it. |

Hi I cant give specific feeback on this hospital. I have been to UCLA and Cleveland Clinic where the wait was so long for the appointment but what I did was call everyday to see if there was a cancelation and I got in a couple months early. I encourage you to do the same. Sometimes you have to just keep nudging them.
I am sorry about your family. It is hard when people dont understand. Could you find some information on the internet to try to educate them? Is there anyone who can help you with the items you need to get done? |

I'm sure UCLA and UCSF are probably the same. Thanks for the tip on calling them every day.
My daughter has mild autism so it's hard for her to be empathetic. We spoke last night and she said she was just being mean and knows I'm really hurting. My husband just sucks. I've complained about him before. He does help, it's just not at the rate or quality I'd do myself. I'm very verbal to him about what's going on. I really just need a housewife, it's too bad I'm not a lesbian. |

I am sorry about your family. I can relate in some ways though I have a very supportive mom the other members are less then so and say hurtful things.
I think with big hospitals sometimes the patient gets lost since there is so many and why you have to keep calling and calling. Also when you go have a list of questions and your records. Often I have felt rushed and that makes it easy to forget what you want to ask. Good luck |
