Hi sally!!!
I just got my very first bottle of the mortons mag lotion and I LOVE it. It really does help take the burn away for me. I know that does not answer your question but I wanted to share how much I am loving this new tool. It seems very odd..maybe coincidence? Has it happened more than once? |

My feet do not get hot using the lotion. The lotion actually stops
burning and pain for me, but esp the swelling I get in my left ankle now. The lotion will open up the blood flow if it is constricted. I only apply it on the instep and ankle area, and a little in the arch. But I do not put it on the bottoms, where the skin is much thicker. The goal is to get the magnesium thru the skin into the tissues there where the nerves are mostly, and the veins and arteries. Sally, try using it in the daytime, rather than at night...see if that makes a difference. I also use it on the backs of my hands and inner wrist. It has taken down my swollen fingers considerably. The CVS lotion had capsascin in it listed as the last ingredient. That version of magnesium lotion tended to make my hands throb. But Morton's does not do that at all. The Morton's seems much much more effective too. It is becoming one the most USEFUL things for me at least...controlling my blood pressure with minimal drugs, and relaxing my muscles as well.

If you have a blood pressure cuff at home, I'd watch your blood pressure too, as it may go down like mine did, and you might be able to give up the HCTZ you take. I went from 3 strong drugs to one tiny dose of beta blocker, just with the magnesium lotion once a day!

Hum, strange that it made my feet hot. I tested it on my forearm and a couple of days later, I put it all over my feet. Scared to use it now. Maybe I will try in a smaller area, daytime. Thanks.
With autonomic neuropathy, my bp goes up and down. Would be hard to tell if it went down.

Yes, I did use a lot, ha. The bottle has no good directions. I will use just a dab next time!
