So it is time to reorder magnesium and I know glycinate has been the best kind to take according to much research. I have been taking Kal brand but I am considering a change to dr's best.
Anyone taking either of these brands??? Dr Oz says to test supplements in warm water and if it doesnt desolve much in 30 minutes then it isn't working, so I considered going with solaRay since it is a capsule but the ratings are not as good with this product. Just doing some research, always seem to get more confused the more I research lol, then end up just getting the same brand I always get. I just wish there was a way to know the product you buy isn't crap, lol |

I think the fastest would be the soluble types.
Ionic fizz and Natural Calm: video on the Natural Calm website: http://naturalvitality.com/natural-calm/ If you are using the lotion, you won't need high doses of oral. Don't overdo, in other words. The soluble types, would be assimilated the fastest. But magnesium you know is not absorbed in the stomach, but in the intestines, and it takes time to get there with food present. The stomach moves you know, mixes things up. A glass of water is stagnant. Keep that in mind too.

I posted about natural calm quite some time ago, I can't take it cause it causes acid reflux. You said it was all the citrates probably. I use to love it.
Kal has never given me bad side effects but I am reading great things about drs best because of the way they process it. thanks! |

I like Doctor's Best brand, and use it for 3 things in fact.
I don't think you can go wrong with it. So do their high absorption magnesium. And don't worry about too much. You are using the lotion, remember?

MrsD I read quite a few places said magnesium is better taken on empty stomach. Have you read that? What do you think?
I know we should not take it with calcium but never heard empty stomach |

Some people will get loose on empty stomach.
Magnesium is one of those minerals, that we eat. So food is okay. Empty stomach will move the magnesium along faster. It is best to have slower transit for more absorption IMO. Magnesium shares the transporter with calcium. So if calcium is not present more mag may be absorbed per dose.
