I have PN which started mainly in abdomen. I notice that especially toward end of day tummy has noticeably protruding size. It also feels hard to touch. Can PN pain have something to do with it? I am on Gabapentin and Tramadol.
My age is 65. My weight is 97 lbs and I am 60 inches. I do tend to carry my weight in abdomen. Could it be just age related? |

It is probably fluid. Gabapentin can cause fluid retention.

It could be fluid retention. I did have pitted edema of ankles. I went to doctor and she gave me Rx for water pill. The ankle swelling did go down and I quit taking the diuretic. Ankle swelling did not come back. It did lower my blood pressure to almost too low a level.
The reason I did not make correlation earlier is that ankle swelling was soft and my tummy swelling felt harder. |

Just to be on the safe side, I would go see your OBYGN. Hard tummys can indicate other issues. I hope you feel better soon and that this symptom goes away soon on its own. ginnie
