I have it ready in my cart:
Jarrow Formulas, B-Right, Doctor's Best, Best Benfotiamine 150, 150 mg Doctor's Best, Best Stabilized R-Lipoic Acid, 100 mg Do I also need Methyl B12 or is the amount in the Jarrow enough Do I need Acetyl-L-Carnitine and if so what strength? I look forward to hearing some ideas please if all of the above is enough for PN and to try and reverse the symptoms of numbness and loss of sensation in legs, feet and up to waist (I consider myself lucky that although I have a sunburn type feeling, there is no pain) but not sure why I have it, no diabetes and no low B12 levels. Thanks in advance - I am finding it all very confusing. |

I'd start with these for now.
You can hold off on the carnitine for a while, and you can pick up methylcobalamin at Walgreen's now. (Nature's Bounty). Also Costco has it too. Consider magnesium in some form too. The Morton's Epsom lotion is easy and inexpensive now at WalMart. I use that everyday, and it is just wonderful. I don't think the amount of methylB12 in the B-right is very high, and will only work well if you have intact intrinsic factor functions. It is too low an amount for passive absorption (when intrinsic factor is broken).

I agree with MrsD I would for sure add magnesium. I can't live without it, especially the new morton epsom magnisium lotion. It really helps with the burn.
I take magnesium glycinate, along with using the lotion. |
