Hello, all! To make a long, long story short, I started on Gabapentin 600 mg. QD, Neurontin 300 mg. BID, and nortiptyline 25 mg. QD., on Monday.

I noticed Wednesday morning before I ever opened my eyes, that the awful burning pain that I had had for two weeks was gone! from my legs and feet. Before I took 2 steps, I discovered that the awful lower abdominal pain that I had had for 4 years! was also gone. Gone!

I expected changes with the leg pain, evetually - never dreamed that these meds. would also stop that awful abdominal pain!

I thank God that after 4 years of a hellish, medical nightmare, I am finally pain-free! Two days now! Thank you, Lord!

To those of you who are suffering: don`t give up! There is a drug combination that WILL work for you, when you find it.

Yes--Nortriptyline + Gabapentin (aka Neurontin) is a combination that's been found to be effective against pain, more so than either drug alone! I had been on Nortriptyline alone with some pain relief; neurologist just added low dose of Gabapentin about three weeks ago, and the past two weeks have been my best period since symptoms started in April. I'm not counting on this being a permanent improvement, but I'd recommend this combo to anyone. Here's one of many links to a report on that study: http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/709766.

i was referring to the combination of Gabapentin and Neurontin. you mentioned that you take Gabapentin 600mg 1x a day and Neurontin 300mg 2x a day plus Notriptylene.

Again, i am happy for you. Lets hope that this relief is for a longer time.
