Default Nerves responding in opposite part of the body?

Nothing serious, just wondered if this is common, or if it is linked to the "poly" side of my PN.

I was massaging one of my toes, and not only did I feel a slight tingle (like very weak current) higher up in my foot, but also in the same place ... on my other foot. I could replicate it several times, so it wasn't something I was "imagining".

Could this mean that not only the nerves are damaged, but that also the brain is having a hard time interpreting the signals?

It's nothing important, it's just very odd, and never experienced it before the PN.

Hard to say... it might be something short circuiting at the spinal cord level too. Reflexes never get to the brain, and they cycle back down to the limb instead.

There are also studies about "mirror" neurons. Some RSD therapies involve using a mirror reflecting the limb with the
pain, back so you can see it. Also phantom pain is treated this way too. The word "mirror" is used in other contexts also for pain and neurological issues, so do some searching on it. It is a hot topic today.

Lots of mysteries are still unexplained, though.
