Mine is sweetened...but it is 26 gm carb/sugars per 1/3 cup.
The sugar doesn't seem to bother me. I don't get any sugar rushes, from them. I don't eat a whole 1/3 cup by any means at one time, either. The bag says 14 servings, and that is about how long it is lasting too (14days). So I guess I am consuming 1/3 cup a day, spread out into about 5 or 6 snacks or desserts. At this point for me it is a small price to pay for the results IMO. The sugar is also caught up in quite a bit of fiber, so it is probably releasing slowly.

Flaxseed is great for so much, it is a daily staple for me. I take Omega Life Inc. fortified ground flaxseed. They say it is better to grind it yourself but I don't wanna mess with that.
I take the fish oil 2x daily, 1 TBS each time. I take the Zyflamend 2x daily, 1 pill with a meal both times, as it has oregano in it and until you get use to it you can feel weird burnish type thing, but I had taken oregano in my past and knew what to look for. It goes away as you get use to it. I had read people said that after taking this fish oil it caused vivid dreams...it is true. I have experienced way more dreams and more vivid. Weird. They say it feeds your brain...so odd. Not bad dreams, just more, and more vivid. I am taking it for inflammation but hope it helps my cholesterol too. |

As I didn't know what tart cherries are, I looked it up, and found that I had consumed them previously, but not in an anti-inflammatory form.
![]() Anyway, I love their taste, so this is something I'd love to try on a regular basis. I think quite a few shops here carry fresh ones (they are known as "morellen" locally, a name that comes from Morello cherries.) |

Does eating fresh cherries be as good as eating the dried ones? |

Supposed to be! However you have to eat the bright red ones, the tart ones. The extracts and cherry juice used to be made from the dark cherries...and this may be the difference.
The tart cherries are used to make pies. These Montmorency dried cherries are VERY tart (sour) and that is why some sugar is added. They are similar to a Jolly Rancher candy. My doctor says as we age we get slower saliva, and if you have a sour thing twice a day it helps the glands flow better. Otherwise you risk stones developing in them, which is very painful and requires surgery. So this is another benefit too. These give the feeling of a "sweet" and are satisfying without continuing to eat them... a small blast of flavor. But I will confess that first day, they were SO good I did a little binge on them. LOL They are nice in salads too. ![]()

I love the dried tart cherries. And once a year, will make sour cherry tart when they're in season. I even went so far as to plant a sour cherry tree two years ago. It yields a small amount of cherries. I have to fight the birds for them though.

I am still improved. I never dreamed I would lay outside in 83 degree weather in the sun ever again, but since taking these pills I can. I still have to have my little portable battery fan pointed at my feet and keep water or biofreeze on them but still....the fact that I can do it at all is a miracle.
I still get burning if I am in warm temperature or walking a lot, like shopping is still impossible however it is truly improved by 80% in every other aspect. I can tell a difference when I don't take the second pill during the day. So for me, this supplement has moved to the very top of my list. The burping fish oil is gone. |
