Are there days some of you find that your hands shake more than others? Today I had the plumber ask me to sign his work sheet. My signature ended up looking like a delinquent parrot had got hold of a biro: Later in the food store I was asked to confirm my payment card's code - I had difficulty getting my finger to press on the correct button, and in the end I held my wrist with the other other hand. Things are stabilised otherwise I would have had difficulty writing this thread.
On another point about hand shake, has anyone found that smoking a cigarette causes the hands to start dancing? |

hi
yes, I can understand the symptoms you are experiencing. I too, on days when my neuropathy have caused severe perasthesia in my arms and hands, my arms and hands ends up with weaknes, spasm and tremors causing similar experience. Sometimes I am not able to write very well. Sometimes, I have to masage my arms, just to feel they are there, and to kind of stretch the spasm out of my muscles. And, yes, I think smoking cigaretts could make the situation worse. Nicotine is a stimulant. But I guess, it depends on how much nicotine. Synnove Last edited by Synnove; 12-05-2013 at 03:02 PM. Hi ,
Synnove is right nicotine is a stimulant and may cause your hands to shake. Usually that will stop if you have been smoking for a while. I do have hands that shake at times. I have not been able to figure out why. My signatures can be a real mess at times! Sometimes if I drink to much caffeine they will shake. Some medications can cause the shakes as can blood sugar issues. hopeful |
