People lie .... I bet they are lying.
![]() Without getting too graphic... sorbitol poops are messy ...hard to clean up after. (that was another nasty aspect of my experience-- in the woods without running water for easy clean up). If your looseness is sticky and messy... that would point to Sorbitol. Did they take the lot # and exp. date from you? If your label says sorbitol or fructose....that is a way out for them. Both are FDA allowable sweeteners. Too much of any oil will not be absorbed well, and can cause looseness. Olive oil is one example... Extra virgin olive oil is used as a laxative too. People taking many fish oil capsules a day can get loose too. It is always best to take the oils with food... as that slows things down and allows for the bile salts to emulsify the oil for absorption. Taken alone on an empty stomach and the bile may not be released, and hence the oil moves on to the large intestine.

The label doesnt say anything.
She said they use natural lemon flavor and nothing else. I really can't do much more than that, it is not listed on the label. And it was not a carlsons website that I copied that statement from. I didn't believe the first person so she got a manage team expert to talk to me. Guess I have to take their word. And no, it was just normal looking, not to get graphic and draw a picture, LOL |

MrsD, do you think it is ok to take my fish oil WITH my 2 tablespoons of flaxseed?
I know that you can't take flaxseed near supplements so I usually don't but I thought maybe since its a shared ingredient, omega 3, that I could take these two at the same times. Yesterday I ate lunch, took my flaxseed in my drink, than took my teaspoon of fish oil, and YIPPPEEE, no bathroom problems. But I pay too much for this dang fish oil to waste it if I shouldn't take them together. I am almost out of the carlsons and just got my order in of the Nordic fish oil, maybe that one will not cause me problems. |

It is best to take all oils with food (a meal or snack)
This is so they will get absorbed better.

I don't see any reason not to.
These oils are nutrients--- actually food. These supplements are different from vitamins which are micronutrients. The oils are macronutrients, meaning they are taken in GRAMS, rather than milligrams. They move around in your body, and are building blocks for cell walls and other tissue.

Most people can get by with 3 fish oil a day. Less if you eat salmon frequently. I use Krill oil now, at 2 a day.
But when I started a decade ago I took only one flax oil, one fish oil and one evening primrose regular strength. This is very moderate but even at these low doses, we all saw huge benefits here. I wouldn't go above 5 fish oil a day without a doctor's supervision.
