I just saw neurologist.
He now thinks hand numbness is from carpal tunnel together with peripheral neuropathy.
He wants me to do another ncv test and I think an EMG.
He did some test and said my hands are weak and I have no reflexes in my legs.
I told him I dont stay much on computer but he said that has nothing to do with it.(the carpal tunnel)
I asked him if there are any meds for this and he said the meds are for the pain not for numbness.

Is the carpal tunnel in both hands? It may not really be classic carpal tunnel but another expression of the neuropathy, and related to your leg issues. It is true that there are no medications for the numbness, but you will get used to that. Wearing braces at night should help. Did he suggest physical therapy? When my hands had reached an acute stage with severe weakness I was able to regain some strength with therapy. I cannot ever regain normal strength but I have found it helpful on several occasions when there has been a sudden drop off in strength, rather than the gradual progression I expect.
No reflexes in the legs can be a symptom of hereditary neuropathy (CMT). I have only had one doctor in my life get a reflex and I think he was exaggerating a little, as the referring neurologist had said there were no reflexes.

I hear a lot that most people here have little to no reflexes. I have hyperreflexes in my legs. Any ideas on what that could be? Is everyone with SFN suppose to have low or no reflexes.

My neuro actually has to get out of the way when he checks my knees.
