When I had the EMG/NCV testing I was not all tensed up or anxious. An exam was done just prior to taking the test. By that I mean all the other things they test for during an exam if they suspect CMT. It was uncomfortable toward the end. It is probably a bit different for some of us who have CMT. It also can depend on who is doing the test. There is medication you can take if it is too much for you. I learned that much later. Not certain that I would have taken any anyway.

As I posted before, a CMT expert told us we would not have to have that test again. It is for the benefit of the doctor/neurologist in our case. We know when we are progressing as CMT is progressive.
