No. no. no... Brian hasn't been forgotten, nor Bob, nor has anyone else, not even that cat who is "not amused." This would be a very big movie, and a HUGE production requiring a lot of casting agents and some rather "vivid" imaginations...

Since I just got my self-taught certification in casting at 3:45 am yesterday, it would be helpful to have some input here to come up with some colorful, imaginary characters, based on our forum participants...

Meanwhile, we find characters Brian and Aussie, co-owners of Braussie, Inc. (think a la Brangelina), currently in the final stages of negotiations for the establishment of a sizeable breeding colony of large Huntsman spiders, for export to the Texas pet trade. A famous fashion jewelry designer, Silverlady, has meticulously produced tiny, individualized, personalized leashes studded with Swarovski stones for the discriminating pet owner, who wants something uh, "different."

Expect to see glimpses of George and Jerry "bigger is better" Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, famed mainly because they are no longer in Dallas, wearing these on their lapels in appropriate settings.

Please, would the next person who takes up this thread, write these spiders out of the Dallas area, or better yet out of the script???

Soooo, fire away...

Cathie

Bob: I think Brian Dennehy should play you!!! I have no idea why!!!

He is very manly, in a big old teddybear kind of way.

So my choice for you would be Brian Dennehy.

Now to the person who thinks Kathy Bates should play me!!!!

KATHY BATES???????

Did you ever see Misery??? Do you think my little picture in the upper left hand of my postings, do you actually see a person who could chop off James Cannes' feet????? Why the very idea!!!!! Bah Humbug.

Now years and years ago, someone told me I used to look like a young version of Elizabeth Taylor.

BUT KATHY BATES??????????????????

OH I GOTTA GET A FACE-LIFT!!!!!

lol

Well, the vivid imaginations I think we have covered. LOL! As for those spiders. *shudder* Best they be left out of it altogether IMO.

Default Not me

Cathie,
I'll design the collars for tiny dogs, but no way am I going to try to put them
on the little devils. Yesterday we tried to hold a very unwilling tiny chihuahua named Copper (7 lbs) to trim his nails. We rescued this little mite and he wasn't handled enough to do this and anytime you restrain him he's frightened. Vet finally got to do it. I gave up. No way am I designing collars for these wee things unless the owner agrees to check for size. Maybe I can just have an exotic, glamous shop and people will come from far and wide to buy these horribly expensive things to adorn their little darlings with.

And NO way under the Texas sun am I touching a "pet spider" to put them on. Someone else write them out of this thing. I'll agree to little dogs, but never spiders. Hate the things. I shiver just looking at them.

Cathie,
Welcome back.

Default Oh, I want to play! I want to be in the movie! No spiders though!

However, I don't know which actress we could get to play me!
For Mel, I think Sharon Osborne "looks" the most like her, but there's no way the personality fits.

I think that Jack Nicholson should play Bob!

This could take a lot of research! I'm on a mission now!

Default Oh, Melody!!!! Pshaw

Kathy Bates is great at light hearted stuff. She has won many awards thru the years.

I liked her in Fried Green Tomatoes, and also she played a fun loving gal on
Six Feet Under (the TV show from HBO which is now rerun on Bravo!)
She was Mrs Fisher's friend who got her out and shopping and out of depressing situations. Very effective in the role!

She is very good. I've never seen Misery...and don't intend to. Sounds
frightful and morbid.

Well, my husband looks like Tony and MrsD's husband too.. I don't know how to add photos to postings, but I guarantee you he does...

Could these be triplets, somehow mysteriously separated at birth???
