Hi would like some help here as I think the pharmacist did not know what I was talking about.
Been taking 3mg time released hydromorphone at 8 am with 2 1mg reg tablets of same, then 2 1 mg tablets at 12, then at 4. Then at 8pm took another 3mg time released with 2 1mg and that would be it till the next morning. Luck would have it my prescription ran out and my dr office is closed as they are on holidays till this Monday. So will have no hydromorphone till at least Tuesday. Well I do have 300 mg of tramadol time released which I asked pharmacist if it was ok to take these till I get my prescription of hydromorphone done - yes Would like to hear from here some second opionions?? Thanks |

We're not doctors or pharmacists (that I know of) here, don't know your medical history, what other medications, etc. you're also taking, or other information a doctor/pharmacist might need/use to answer that.
That said, your doctor doesn't have anyone covering for him/her while the office is closed? I think I would try that, go back to the pharmacist and try again, or perhaps ask another pharmacist you have a relationship with. What I would NOT do is take those two medications together unless expressly told to by your doctor, or take either other than as prescribed. Doc
