Default thinning of optic nerve

ok. more to worry about. I went to see an ophthalmologist because my eyes have been very dry, blurry and "foggy". I have also had instances where I have a blind spot in one eye. I have only noticed it at night so far. What happens is I can hold my hand out and I can't see my hand (area is just black) but I can see stuff around the black area. It only seems to happen with my left eye. the ophthalmologist did some testing and said my optic nerve is thinning she will inform my neuro. She said it may be a consequence of my neuropathy. I have been doing a little searching online and there is nothing GOOD about this. My vision has been foggy and blurry more and more lately. I'm scared about losing my vision. anybody else have this? I wonder if the nortriptyline contributes to this at all? (not the thinning nerve , but blurry foggy eyes as a side effect? )
how is this moving sooo fast!
