Laugh Who knew?

Hi Melody:

Never dreamed that merely putting on a bra was such a big problem for so many of us girls!

Melody: as an accomplished seamstress you must know that fabric stores have those hook and eye bra things? You don't have to cut them off old bras. But of course if you have the old bras, that is time and money saving.

Ok, Dave, what are you going to do with your new bra information?

Shirley:

Yes indeed, I've been using those bra fastener things for years. They come in black and white. The ones I have are 4 hooks and this bra I made had 3 hooks. So I took an old 3 hook bra, cut it to fit, and VOILA!!! I now have a brand new front closing bra.

I absolutely loved the one that Silverlady gave the link for. It is absolutely gorgeous. I think I shall treat myself. (Updated). I just went to buy it and they do not have it in my size, nor do hey have a 42B in stock either. And it was so pretty. I'll keep on making my own bras then.

Isn't it fun when we can design or craft something to fit our needs. I do this all the time. If I can't buy it, I tell myself, "how do I make this'. And I make it. I should go on the Invention show. I did invent a bed separator (like when people are sleeping head to head, and one is snoring, or breathing on the other person. I sent my design to the Invention People on TV that tell you to "send in your inventions" and if we deem it worthy, we'll help you develop it and get a patent." I was turned down.

For years, I built a separator in the middle of my headboard that came between me and Alan when we slept. That way we wouldn't breathe on each other. It's also good for when you have sick kid in bed with you and you don't want to catch their germs but you do want to comfort them.

And the best thing about it was when Alan went to bed at night, I slid the divider between us and the light of the tv (I used headphones) would not bother him. I still say its a good invention.

I wish it was more consistent it would be so much easier. If pants are suppose to be a 10 then make it a 10 don't put 6 so people can say they bought a 6. Its just a number. Ok that was a little off. You get my drift. Now go treat yourself to some pretty stuff. I'm sure your husband will thank you too.
We're not all size 4's and such. Amen, Sister! I've never worn less than a size 10 ever, at any time. The 10 was when I was in the service (AirForce) and I'd just gotten out of the hospital after being pretty sick for a few days. I truly am big boned and built more like a guy. No hips and my shoulders are wider than my hips.

There's a lady I know, she's buying the Bridal Shop a few doors down from where I live. She will specialize in larger women. Normal women. There are plenty of Bridal Shops for size 4 types. Hardly *any* for larger women. She will carry lingerie as well as a selection of business type dress clothes for larger woman. Yay for reality!

Jarrett that is realy nice and I think there should be more stores that carry all the ranges. Not just special stores seperating reg to plus. What is healthy for one is not for another. Also for many people they obsess about there body or a number to take the issues off something else. I still have a ways to go on the mental of body issues now that in a healthier range. I know though my issue was never actually about the number more the issues within. Now I realise a strong and beutiful women is whole and more then her outside.
Anyhow Melody have you tried other stores that have similar items. Or maybe you can order it online. It was a very pretty bra. Yeah for treating yourself not that its a huge splurge. Its the little things in life.

Default It's a SUCESS!!!!!

Hello all:

Well, I am pleased as punch to announce that my bra worked perfectly.

I just slipped it on, it clicked in the front. I was so impressed with myself, I went into the Living Room wearing my new and improved "Mock Victoria Secret front closing bra". You should have seen Alan's face. There I was in this sexy bra with my cleavage and his eyes are bulging and he burst out laughing and says: "my god, what are you up to now, YOU ARE NOT LEAVING THE HOUSE IN THAT".

I said "relax, it's just a souped up bra, I'm putting clothes on".

This is such a cool idea, I am now re-making all my bras.

Should have done this a long long time ago. And it's no harness, and it's comfy.

Thank goodness.

Melody

That *is* pretty. But for me I'd be falling in to the center. I have to have a bit more to the cup in the cleavage area.

More like this one:

I LOVED the name of that bra. Amoureuse .And the color!!!! Oh my goodness, what a pretty bra.

Right now, I'm saving. But at least I still have my 3 home-made beauties. One beige, one black, one pink.

Default Humm.. I could blast away here about...

some things...but I will defer for peace's sake. Some folks are tending to appear to take advandage of of the issue for other purposes... To me..That appears to be OPPORTUNISTIC albeit in a somewhat obtuse manner...
As a HUMAN being who gets certain appendages completely 'assessed' by medical professionals at least MONTHLY.. I constantly feel like belting out ROUNDS of "Respect! "at each 'visit' to each doc...What bothers me more is that no one doc...who does any 'assessment' is looking at ME as one whole being....That I am one sole 'patient' who has to DIRECT any/all test results and any ramifications/implications to all docs who are responsible for MY oversight and care...I have B C and not anything any doc told me FITS what I am going thru w/that and my other issues...
Well Guys..I gotta ask you..HOWS yer PROSTRATE?...Got a tite fit there? Sorry,. I cannot restrain myself about this somewhat 'obtuse issue' and comparative insult? I am not only talking about certain areas of 'sensitivity' here I guess I am talking about HOW SENSITVE YOU are about 'certain aspects"? So,, I'm thinking that IF YOU GUYS have nothing valuable to contribute...hey..butt OUT? Hell, HOW would you like getting your body INSPEcTED quarterly, by FOUR different docs...each quarter? Think on it!

Hey, I found a wonderful obscene site,, looking under e-bay for antiques...Tables. You want direction to fun and games..I can steer you there...not that I wish those options..
Maybe it's all an issue of your SHORTS dont' fit Well? - j
