Great picture... Isn't she beautimus? Roxie and Foxy...

Cathie

P.S. Roxie, we are feeding birds and squirrels here too. Last month, one squirrel cost hubby $400.00 because it got up under the new pickup and chewed through the fuel line... We are still feeding a bunch of them, but the pickup is parked in the back now... This caused quite a stir at the dealership. They had never seen anything like the row of nuts that was lined up on top of the fuel tank underneath the truck...

I am trying to decide if it was my fault we got off of the buzzing here. I swore I would not hijack a thread again, but somehow, it just happens... I guess Sue is right. It must be the devil in me...

I did mean to mention one thing. I thought Urimax helped with buzzing, burning, or painful pins and needles for some reason. It was prescribed for IC, and I was sad to find it taken off of the market. I noticed you had also been diagnosed with IC, and wondered if you had noticed that any of the IC meds helped with this.

There was another one, but I am drawing a blank on the name... Maybe Urelle...

it was irritating to see Urimax taken off of the market, and no one at the manufacturer seems to have a good answer asto why, except they don't have a supplier. Speaking of fish, that sounds a little fishy...

HI Cathie!
I take Elavil for IC pain and it does help a little with PN pain I think...or is suppose to. How long have you had IC? It's so miserable! I've had it for 30 yrs now......there should be a time limit on stuff like that! lol 30 yrs? times up! lol
OMG that's awful about your husbands truck! lol and the lined up nuts! LOL LOL That's funny!
We just love our squirrels....we started out feeding 7 and now have around 20 on most days. Plus there's the Morning Dove's, Cardinals, Red headed WoodPeckers and Blue Jays.....it's great! We do go through a lot of critter food though! lol Here's a picture of them.........

HI Sue!
We love our squirrels and birds too. It's SO much fun watching them. We feed them twice a day......and then we get to watch them eat while we eat our breakfast and dinner.
I had to smile (laugh!) too when I read about the squirrel at Cathie's house! lol Critters sure can do a lot of damage if they want too!
I wish my son and his family lived close by too. My granddaughter is 8 1/2 now......hard to believe! She starts the 3rd grade tomorrow! Where has the time gone???

Hi Roxie:

They first suspected I had IC around 1996. Prednisone seems to help it and since I am on it all of the time, it keeps the pain down quite a bit. It is kind of like everything else with my health. You have it, you don't, you might, we don't know... It did respond to the IC meds though... Maybe the reason they are unsure, is because it does seem to respond to steroids. I have hematuria most of the time...

Your yard is really pretty. I cannot imagine all of those squirrels eating so close to one another without going after each other. We have constant spats here over who is going to eat out of which feeder. Our yard is very small and I think we have had maybe 6-8 at one time. We also have Mallards that come in every year for a few months, for some unknown reason. It is not like we have a pond or anything. The squirrels are bankrupting us eating black sunflower seed-won't eat corn. The Mallards eat cracked corn... Everyone else eats birdseed...

What are you putting out for them to eat?

Right now, I am trying to attract a Screech Owl to move into my owl box. So far, zip... I stay terrified a Great-horned Owl will come here and camp out, because of my tiny dogs... Every now and then we will hear one...

I would love to have a big pretty yard, especially where I could see it from the house...

Cathie

HI Mel! Thank you for the nice compliment! I've been a big fan of Meredith's! We've had several people come up to us lately thinking Mike was Kenny Rogers! LOL Of course that made Mike stick his chest out and grin! LOL

HI Cathie!
We love our yard too. It takes a LOT of work and upkeep but it's so nice to be able to sit out there and enjoy it.
We feed our critters the bags of food from the Ace Hardware store. It has seed, cracked corn, and sunflower seeds.....something for everyone for around $5.99 a bag. We go thru a lot of it feeding so many critters every day though. Today we had 9 pigeons too!! We started out with only 2 pigeons.
The squirrels don't fight much. We spread the food out in a wide area (appro. 20ft by 20ft) so everyone has their area space. We love sitting and watching them eat.
We get tall Cranes here in our yard some times and we worry about them trying to eat the fish out of our ponds. I'm waiting for the hummingbirds to show up anytime now. I have 5 feeders out this year and all our flowers are in bloom now.
As for the IC.......I've had it since I as around 20 yrs old and have had some really miserable years with it. I'm doing great now on Elmiron, Elavil and Freeze dried Aloe Vera. I wish I'd had those drugs years ago!
I had my 2nd infusion today......it went better than the first one did but I'm sure tired tonight.

I ride a garden tractor too, and never fails, I pulsate all night long...it is awful. I assume that is similar to what you describe.

I don't have diabetes, and have some 'idiopathic PN' that is nasty...I also have herniated discs. The pulsating from the mower is bodywide.

I found out if I sit on a foam cushion and wear my back brace it buzzes less.

With PN, no matter what, you get symptoms, though. If you sit, you degenerate, if you are active, you exacerbate....there is no winning....I try not to think about it.
