OP: Even though you take Metformin, do you control your foods, this is important.

The weakness, sounds like a course of Physical Therapy could be in order. You can't stop walking and moving around.

I don't have diabetes, but neuropathy from a hip replacement and do take Berberine to keep my glucose levels down. I believe they can elevate as we age...and can't ignore the foods...

Inositol helps me a lot to relax my body and I've been taking it for years. Do a search on it's benefits. Don't stop moving.
