Yesterday, while cleaning house I threw out some old roses in a vase.
A few hours later, threw out some other things, and as I pushed down the trash, forgot the roses were there and got one of the thorns stuck into my knuckle. It stuck into the knuckle of my ring finger, at the base of my finger. By bedtime, my finger was stiff and painful. When I woke up this morning the two fingers on either side were also stiff and painful. No swelling, no redness, just stiff and painful. Anyone else experience this pain from the site of a cut or injury? Thanks, Terri |

Have abnormal nerve function that causes sensation in one area to affect others to a vastly abnormal degree.
I haven't experienced that, but in light of my name I am especially sorry. ![]() rose

terri, had you used any type of insecticide, mold or fungus sprays...fertilzer on the roses? where they dried? they might have had dust or mold spores on them.
i hope it feels better soon. ![]()

Hi Terri:
In my life, I have a lot of things like this happen, which I believe are related to a hyped up immune system. Don't know if this is true in your case, but consider it... Example: I was never allergic to tape before. My implants were removed, I developed such tape allergy, that the skin swelled up and came off when the steri strips were removed the following day... Have you ever seen that commercial on tv for Windex with the 2 crows who keep teasing the man with the clean patio doors--one flys and rings the door bell and while he is answering the door, the other crow slides the patio door shut so when the man comes back he walks into the clean door and both crows have a belly laugh.
WELL, I swear there are creatures inside of us who say, "Hey, s/he is having a good day, should we allow this?" and they toss a thorn into our day just to make sure we never forget about them! Hope you are feeling better today!
