Do any of you have suggestions for winter shoes for someone with narrow feet and ultrasensitive feet? I need them for the trip to Mayo. I live in Texas and the weather is never very bad here. We are driving to Mayo and I'm afraid the weather will be wet/snowy.

Have you checked out the Ugg's? I find the fleece and thick rubber to feel like a slipper.

Yes I ordered two pair of Uggs and received them today. Super comfortable, but I have extremely narrow feet and they slipped up and down on this AAA heel of mine. I have to send them both back. (ordered 2 sizes to try. If anyone orders them, they run about a full size large) Anyway, if I can't find something similar in a narrow size, I'll have to order a different size. I'm still looking and open to suggestions.

Aw, too bad. My feet are very wide, with a narrow heel, and they're the best fit I've found in a winter boot.

"Grabbers" are little pads that heat up. I buy them by the dozen, and put them in my shoes in the morning on cold days and they last a lot of hours.
If your feet get very cold, they might be useful.

Great idea, Liza Jane! Toe Warmers, wow!! My toes haven't been warm in 2 years and all I've been able to stand to wear is sandals. Not a good combo. How thick are the warmers? Will they fit inside a boot if I have to buy a soft leather pair?

My beauty operator told me today (yeah, I got a haircut, no dog tags necessary) that she was in Northern Iowa last year about the same time I'll be at Mayo. She took shoes similar to my walking shoes...backless tennis shoes. Snowed 3 inches while she was there. Had to make a quick trip to buy snow boots which are never used in this part of the country.

Still looking for soft boots.

Have you looked at these. You slip your foot, shoe and all into it. That way if you have shoes/sandals that you like, you can continue to wear them.

If you decide to try the toe warmers that LizaJane mentioned I can vouch for their effectiveness. I've used them for several years to take the edge off of the perpetual coldness of my toes and feet and they do work. I've worn them comfortably in casual and walking shoes, work boots even w/ orthotic inserts - no problem.
They work so well that I buy them in large lots, the generic looking packages are the same as the brand name but are from China. For me, the generic warmers which are a little less expensive work better because they seem to be a bit warmer which is nice in PA expecially in the Winter time with feet of snow. The other thing for cost, up here ACE hardware stores run a 20% off sale anything you can fit in one of their paper bags. When they do that I take advantage of the sale and can get the brand name packages for <$1.00 each. Hope this helps.
