Well, we just got back from the physical therapist. It was Alan's FIRST TIME.

The guy wants to know how much weight Alan can put on his shoe boot, if he can walk or not, etc. etc. He did put a call into his ortho guy but had not heard anything back yet. Playing telephone tag.

So he started Alan easy. They measured his shoe boot thing. They did the light stretching. They gave Alan 3 rubber band thingees and showed him what to do with them.

Then they led him into a room, put ankle weights on the shoe boot and had him do various exercises.

By the way, I wheeled him there and back in the wheelchair and we go back to Beth Israel tomorrow to get his stitches out.

The doctor better tell him "you can now walk on the shoe boot".

I simply can't wheel him or carry the wheelchair down the front porch. I am NOT built like Arnold Schwartznegger. I'm utterly exhausted.

But he seems much stronger.

Doing exercises along side Alan was this 90 year old woman. Joking and kidding around. Badly hunched over BUT SHE WAS MOVING.

The therapist said "are you kidding, one of my clients is 101"!!! I was amazed.

Then when I was sitting in the waiting room, there was an elderly nun. I said hello, and spoke of my parochial school days. Turns out she taught at my high school after I graduated and she knew my music teacher. We hooted and hollared. Me and the nun. Alan must have thought I lost my mind.

Tomorrow BETH ISRAEL. And off with the wheelchair!!!!! lol
