Thanks Rose.
I wish that my body would stop spasming already. The weather in NY is absolutely nuts. One day it's freezing, the next day you don't even need a sweater, then a few hours, later it's freezing again. And my whole body hurts. Thankfully, I'm not bent anymore. Today I was able to stand up and walk to Dunkin Donuts. Then, a few hours later I was fine. It got hot outside. The sun was shining brightly and I said 'okay!!! let's do some mild stretching". And I did. Felt okay. Then a few hours later, I notice the heat began to kick in, in my radiators. I went outside and it was freezing again, and then my body began doing it's thing. I hate being 60. I think I'll be okay once July and August get here. That's how I've been doing it for a few years now. I'm just fine in the summer months. No pain, no nothing. But when the temperature changes, holy cow, my spine my knees, my wrists, it all drives me nuts. Wouldn't it be lovely to turn back the clock and we could all be as smart as we are now, but we'd all be 20 again!! jeez.

I don't know but 20's is not looking too good from where I am at. It is hard thinking I have to live in pain like this till I am 80. Anyhow remember my b12was 2000 and my doc told me to stop too. Actually it was 1500 and then when I stopped it went to 2000. I feel blood work is often off. When I was ill I had bloodwork almost everyday and every day it changed. I guess for me I follow my docs. Not so much cause I think their right but more because when I feel worse or something happens they can't blame it on something I did. It is like for my car I always keep reciepts so when they try to blame the problem on me I have proof.

kdl5,
Have you checked the date on the post you were replying to? 47/17/08 - April ! I don't think resurrecting that thread it to make it current, is of any real value.

The thread was about B12. The poster's message was about B12. Why are you making such a big deal about it?

Back to B12, I have a question. I just had major bloodwork done, and my B12 confused me a little. In Oct 05, I was taking 1000mcg daily, and my B12 level came back at 1237. This time, I am taking 3000mcg 3 days a week. I was taking it everyday until Mel's thread here started, then I decided to cut back to M-W-F. Now, my B12 level is 1018. Why the lower number? Should I return to daily?

Mrs D is gone but hopefully her or Rose will answer. When I was taking extra b12 my level was 1500 then I stopped and it was 2000. So I have no clue but I know for me for awhile I had bloodwork almost everyday and the ranges varied greatly. I often wonder here if that could be an issue for some. Also I wonder and this may be so wrong but don't you get b12 through animal products so if you consume more or less could that effect or am I clueless?
kdl5 welcome. In my past I also suffered from severe anorexia and depression/anxiety/ocd now healthy well still with the depression/anxiety due to this chronic pain. I don't think it is a rule not to bring up old posts this obviously brought up an issue for someone else. I often do searches on past posts to see what people are doing etc. |

It's all about how you store it (I learned this from reading Rose's posts and listening to Mrs. Doubtfire).
I now take it (usually), once a day. I feel MUCH better for that. Some days I'll skip it, but usually, it's once in the morning, on an empty stomach. And about animal products having B-12?? I don't eat red meat. And you'd have to eat A LOT OF ANIMAL PRODUCTS to compare to what I take every morning in my little sub lingual pill. lol At least that's my interpretation.
